slu72
no WR made it clear, he ain't writing no dam* letter of apology when all he did was watch the young lady text her boyfriend while she was doing the horizontal mambo with another guy. billiken_roy
and Kwamain AND Willie are back for spring semester? johne, willie has already been released from his scholarship and enrolled at k-state. if kwamaine truly has to write an apology letter i just cant see that an atty would allow him to do that as it seems to me that admits guilt. that said, we were told at the fanfest last week that kwamaine is planning to come back second semester so that would be about the third week in january. billikenfan05
But I think everyone can agree Willie is done as a billiken.Right but you should have answered the whole question. Come on NH step your game up!
NH
if kwamaine truly has to write an apology letter i just cant see that an atty would allow him to do that as it seems to me that admits guilt. That depends on the wording of the apology. If the apology is "I am sorry for sexually assaulting a girl", then I agree with you. If the wording is "I am sorry if my actions reflected poorly on the University, Team etc."

If the wording is "I am sorry if my actions reflected poorly on the University, Team etc." i understood the apology was to be written to her. why would she care if his actions reflected poorly on the team/university? Billikan
i understood the apology was to be written to her. why would she care if his actions reflected poorly on the team/university? There is no doubt that a letter could be written that would not have any legal impact. I know nothing of any details of what is supposed to happen so I can't say what the "board" wanted. I cannot imagine they would insist on a letter that would have an impact on the legal process.
Westy03
that said, we were told at the fanfest last week that kwamaine is planning to come back second semester so that would be about the third week in january. If this happens then I say just red shirt Kwamain and dont waste that half year.
slu314
I have yet to read any official news that K-State has accepted Reed and he will be playing for them. I also don't believe they have any scholarships available this year. I hope he just decides SLU screwed me, but I can give them a semester and try to go pro. Are you saying that KM wouldn't do community service unless he receives something in return?

billiken_roy
I haven't seen anything official saying this. do you really think that willie sr would have ceased his assault on saint louis university if the school hadnt released willie jr? i believe willie sr was on slaten just last week or the week before indicating willie had indeed enrolled at k-state. as to the comment about no scholarships available, remember frank martin is a huggins protege. i seriously doubt he would let rules get in his way. For-DaLove
Kwamain's coming back. I guess there's deeper ties to KState for Willie than what's on the surface. i.e. his AAU coach, et cetera..

Floridafan
If Willy’s account of the events is accurate, what did he do wrong and what should he apologize for? I believe he is guilty of a lack of chivalry – a sin of omission. A godly man, a good Catholic man or a gentleman though rare today, would have and should have escorted the intoxicated young woman to her residence and left her at the door. That would have left reputations and careers in tack.
Quality Is Job 1
I read on Tigerboard that Willie Reed will apparently walk on at Kansas State. Take it for what it's worth.
Chicago Billiken
I just need to clear something up for my own knowledge. SLU's official release said that "Willie and Kwamain are no longer enrolled at SLU" but there has been nothing to state that they have been released from their athletic scholarship. I guess I can infer from the official release that their scholarships are gone but does SLU need to officially release Willie and Kwamain? If they do, would they have a press release? I think Willie is probably gone although the best thing for him would be to come back and have a monster 2nd half and then go straight to the pros. I can't see in any scenario where it will be good for Willie to sit for 1.5 years and then play for 1.5 years in a new system. Here's to hoping that Willie and Kwamain are both back! Cowboy
-i don't recall seeing anything official from kst that indicated willie had enrolled nor does it look like there has been an announcement looking at their website, but i agree that there are no signs indicating willie returning to SLU
BillikenROAR
For the person suggesting km should redshirt... Would the NCAA grant a redshirt year to a player suspended for half the season? Or would he just have to enroll in the school next year to have 2 full years left..like I said I have no idea about this rule but it seems ncaa granting a redshirt for the reason he has to miss first half of season would not happen.. I believe if he comes back, he plays.
