davidnark
I have heard that sometime this week the university will announce an 8-figure naming rights deal for the new arena.

Bill_Ken R
I have not heard the details but did hear that they are close to making an announcement.
davidnark
I don't know who the sponsor is, but I heard it was not AB. I am totally guesing, but I could see AG Edwards, US Bank, Boeing, Emerson, and Enterprise as possible candidates. Apex Oil is a friend of the program, but they have never shown an interest in consumer-driven sponsorship.
STLfan
That yellow bird will now be at all of the home games as well. And we are going to have Dirt Cheap's own bear on tap instead of Budweiser. Dirt Cheap Arena. It would be the most unique name in college basketball. STLfan
Enterprise Arena has a nice sound to it. I doubt it would be US Bank. There already is a U.S. Bank Arena http://www.usbankarena.com/
Tonka
Well, prior to Scottrade buying the rights on Savvis, I used to think they might be in the running. Roger Riney spends money on advertising like I have never seen. My question is how often does 2 arenas in the same area have the same sponsor? Since Edward Jones is out and AB uses Busch for the Cardinals I never thought they would buy the naming rights at SLU. My guess would be Enterprise, Express Scripts, or Boeing. davidnark
I will have to work my way all the way up to the top before that would be a possibility.
davidnark
American Airlines has multiple arenas named after them. In fact, last year's NBA playoffs featured one team who plays in the American Airlines Center and another team who plays in the American Airlines Arena. cheeseman
Sigma Aldrich is the big chemical and research company you are probably thinking of. Monsanto spun their chemical stuff of or at least most of it. I wonder if they will announce it at the Tip Off Club Mtg tonight?
stchuckbilliken
Since Tony Novelly gave a big chunk to his High School, CBC, it seems only natural that he would give a bigger chunk to his university. Also, he is in the Coach's Circle Platinum club.
