If she's on maternity leave, then she's not involved in this at all. Someone in her office is handling it. Or not handling it, apparently.
Regardless, I don't think we need to be trashing her personally. Maternity leave isn't a vacation. Probably been a while since some of you old farts have had babies around, but I'm telling you as a parent of a baby, it's a lot of work and you don't bring your job home on maternity leave. The school could get in major trouble if they asked her to work during leave, too.
Go after the administration, school, and Title IX office all you want for dragging their feet to a completely unacceptable degree, but it's pretty low to go after someone on maternity leave.

Awesome night from Goodwin and the whole team, really.  That said, I think he benefited from some "home cooking" on the assist count. Assists are not like points or boards and there is some judgement on the part of the stat keeper.
I started paying close attention to his stats when it became clear he had a chance about midway through the first half and I can recall 2 "assists" in the second half that were very questionable.  The first one was where he passed to Anthony on the baseline who was being double teamed.  After catching the pass, Anthony had to slice through the two defenders before making the basket (1:00 mark in the highlight video).  The second and more questionable one (1:14 mark in the highlight video) was where he shoveled it to Foreman (at the three point line!) and then Foreman drove the lane for a layup.  This ain't hockey!
On the flip side, he set up his teammates on multiple occasions for easy layups or shots and they missed them, so I guess it all balances out.

Usually recruiting follows a similar pattern everywhere - when the coach is first hired they get a bump in recruiting for a year or two, then things kind of level off unless the coach is showing success on the court, if he is then he can continue to get good recruits if he is not then he may only get avg. type recruits.  Often it is in year 3 that the problem crops up on the court and usually by year 4-5 the coach is gone.  A coach who has success on the court in the early years will continue to get good recruits and he will be sought after by other schools.  Success on the court will eventually be required for Ford to continue recruiting at a high level.

This is a result of institutions/organizations not taking the sexual assault thing seriously - just trying to sweep it under the rug.  Look at Weinstein - his contract even said he could not be fired if he was sued for sexual assault  You can not tell me that his company was trying to root it out.  This is like anything else, it swings from one end to the next until people finally realize that an appropriate medium must be reached.

I will not boycott games regardless of what happens with S2 because if we want to kill the basketball program boycotting would be the final nail.
I want Gordon, Thatch, Pearson, Goodwin, French, Santos, JJ, and Bess to know they have my full support and that I will renew my season tickets.
There are poachers out there that would love to call the coaches of the 2018 recruits and talk about a fan boycott and the handling of S2 and that may get these guys to change their mind.
I want the 2019 guys we are recruiting to know I support SLU sports and will continue to introduce Billiken Basketball to other people.
I have not been happy at all with S2 but 2018 will be a better year as long as the 3 2018 recruits enroll in school and we get good players signed for 2019.

Bartley is a mixed-bag.  Can clearly still shoot it, but he's a liability on defense and still weak with the ball.  Given our circumstances, I'd love to still have him, but I'd much rather have any of the 3 suspended players.

This has to be the longest a SLU recruit had a verbal. I don't recall a SLU player committing earlier. Pretty awesome that he never wavered. I heard from several local basketball fans over the past year who were convinced that Gordon would never sign with SLU. Now they can suck it!
  9. SShoe liked a post in a topic by billiken_roy in GDT, exhibition enjoy the season and forget about suspensions that have not happened
the way i look at things, there are really three levels of "wrong".  1, policewise, did they commit a felony?  2. schoolwise, did they break a school rule?  3. teamwise, did they break a team rule?   in no way do i see that any current "suspension" implicates anything beyond #3 at this time.   A coach should be able to suspend or bench a player at anytime for team rules or even just a conduct issue or even a play issue.

The connections you would make as a premier athlete at an Ivy are just below NBA lottery pick on the value scale.  Go to the Ivy and be surrounded by attractive ladies the rest of your post college life because you are rich and connected  thanks to playing basketball at Harvard.

If I were an athlete, I would have no desire to go to one of the truly elite academic schools. I would certainly go to a good academic school, but not an Ivy or equivalent. "Yeah, well I'll be at [name the power conference program] where the girls are half as smart, and thus twice as likely to blow me." Going to an Ivy up in the Northeast with the cold weather and surrounded by nerds would have little appeal to me. Just let me get a solid degree, hoop, and be surrounded by attractive ladies who all have a desire to be with a stud athlete. Anyone offended by this post, don't worry I am a 35 year old nerd, so I won't be going thru the recruiting process.

I feel like you have created an algorithm that waits every 10-15 posts and then uses somewhere between 150 - 1,000 words to basically say:
    - Nothing has been determined, criminal or title IX
    - We have no idea when something will be determined
    - Nobody on this board knows anything
    - The school has no concept of  expediency on this topic.

I'll check back in 10 posts to see what your next version says.

Not bad.  Clearly attributable to those in Section 108 who are lobbying the officials on behalf of the team. Because it certainly isn't the students.

Ford's first year was "awful"?   I think SLU fans would disagree. Since you only had 8 posts during that time frame, you may have missed it, but the mood on the board was generally very positive - a lot of good news with Ford quickly overhauling the roster, not only with some promising transfers, but quality local recruits. Yet you were nowhere to be found to share in the good news!
