Why don't we ever get kids that can shoot?

I'm with you on this one. But not players who can shoot. We have them. Why is it so hard for SLU to find players who can consistently shoot ACCURATELY?

No one should be surprised that Crawford is a good player. All he needs is more floor time. I believe he can play like he did tonight with consistency if given the minutes. There are a number of good players who can not create their own shot. Good coaches will draw up plays to get a good shooter open.

Finishing a layup on a drive to the basket is no small task for this team this year.  We have to give credit when someone is actually converting those chances.

Last there were complaints that Jett and McCall had trouble finishing layups because they were too short and if they were taller they could finish better. Well, we have 6'4" guards now who have trouble finishing. It's not just height involved.

In Chaminade's latest game, which they lost to a very good team, Cook did not play well. I watched him earlier this year and I was not impressed. However, he has the rest of this season and all of next to improve.

The question was who will not be in the rotation not who will start.  At this time none has distinguished themselves to be left in or left out.  Crews is stuck with his problem but what I would do is not be substituting so much if the group on the floor seems to be doing alright.  He tends to sub even when things are going well.

I believe if Crews stops doing this the team will play much better. He did it yesterday when SLU started pulling away and took out players who were producing.
