  1. Let’s go!!!! Maybe one of the last times we play UMass in anything. Good riddance!
  2. The ladies need to win tonight and then win a damn title tomorrow! I saw a bit of the VCU mens match across from SLU this morning. They look really, really good and are going to be very tough to beat.
  3. OMG what a tiebreaker to advance!!!! If all college tennis was played in this type of facility and atmosphere, it would be a thing
  4. Well it started in Fairfax, VA (vb) then to Richmond (ws) on to Myrtle Beach (mbb). Then it was baseball in Port Charlotte, FL, Millington, TN, Hammond and New Orleans, LA. On to Edwardsville, IL (wbb). Now at the A10 Tennis Championships in Orlando. Amazing complex. #4 seed men playing in the quarterfinals this morning against Mason. The ladies play tonight in the semis. They are the #2 seed and #1 VCU was upset last night. I don’t think either SLU team has ever made a regional. That would be really cool.
  5. I assume that we are a month away from our schedule announcement, but BYU just released their full schedule. They will play SLU in St. Louis on Thursday, Aug 22nd. That would be the second week of the season.
  6. Offense has ground to a halt. Still missing three starters and #1 pitcher with injuries. Eeked out a 3-1 win at Lindenwood last night. Very worried about our weekend series at GW. We are actually behind last year’s pace in conference. Last year at this time we were 9-3. We currently stand 8-4. Unless we can get some dudes back from injuries, this has the possibility of becoming a very disappointing season. I was counting on this year being the first SLU regional I was going to be able to travel to.
  7. HCJS will be on The Press Box @ 11:05 CT
  8. It's incumbent on us to not stop the party this time.
  9. 6-1 win to start the Fordham road series!
  10. Looks like neither Neuweg (SS) or Preston (C) are in the lineup today at Fordham! CRAP!!!!! Thats three full-time starters and perhaps our best pitcher on the shelf. DAMN IT!!!! This team could be really special if healthy. @BillTheCat Any updates??
  11. LaSalle bringing back baseball after killing it during COVID. Like to see that.
  12. Nice. Fordham isn't very good but they do seem to play better at home. They took 2 of 3 from Richmond and also just won a series at UMass. We need to win this series to stay in first place overall.
  13. Good news: Billikens complete the sweep of Davidson, pitch very well allowing just three runs over the past two days. Bad news: Starting catcher Knox Preston left the game with an injury Sunday and starting shortstop Austin Nueweg, who has been a defensive anchor and show occasional pop with the bat was helped off the field with a leg injury after being thrown out stealing. Hopefully both will be able to be back soon because both would be big losses defensively, the area SLU has been SO MUCH IMPROVED from last year. No midweek game this week. They head to Fordham this weekend and then GW the following weekend. Next home game is in May.
  14. Funny that SLU and the Cardinals both blew 6-0 leads yesterday and came back to win.
