Amusing - there is a pretty popular Italian restaurant near me in Jacksonville, FL where the owners are all from St. Louis. You can get a pizza very similar to Imo's there, which I will on occasion when I am missing home. Its actually a little less greasy than the original which I appreciate. They also serve TRavs, Mayfair salad and gooey butter cake. When I tell people that this is a cool St. Louis style restaurant, no one cares.

Thats the point. Valley upgrades to A10. A10 upgrades to BEast. The next team that goes from the A10 to the Valley will be the first. Temple and UMass left for football, not basketball.

According to Stu on Twitter we are close to announcing our participation in a holiday tournament in Florida for next season, which is great news (for me particularly). The most significant tournament in Florida every year is the Orlando Disney event, but I believe that field has already been announced. Its an amazing event and we were in that field in 2021 but pulled out because of Covid. There is the Jacksonville Classic that used to be hosted by UNF (nice arena/campus/parking). Inexplicably they moved that event last year to tiny Flagler College in St Augustine. St. Augustine in amazing, fun city to hang out in, however the gym they played in is 10X worse than wherever your junior high school team plays. There are 2 tournaments in Fort Myers one hosted by FGCU and one at the Hockey arena. Both are nice facilities and there is plenty to do in SW Florida. The Womens team played in the women's version of the tournament at the hockey arena in 2022-23. It was very early in the Tillett era and they looked absolutely terrible in the first two games but beat Air Force in the third one. I swear it seemed like McMakin took 200 shots, mostly ill-advised, that weekend. The one I think we will be going to is the Sunshine Slam. It is hosted by the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. Serviceable arena right on A1A across from the beach. Last year Florida State, UNLV, Colorado and Richmond played there. I have a feeling this will be a helluva lot more fun that the angst and uncertainty that surrounded the Myrtle Beach tournament this season.

Soundly beating a Big East school is always good. But what's great is getting Hayden Moore (2 hits/1 rbi) and Tommy Ray (1 scoreless inning) back. After getting his 500th win as a SLU coach earlier this year, Coach Hendo is going to get his 1,000th career win this weekend! If there was any justice in the world SLU would build him a stadium, name it after him and put his freaking statue in front of it.

Okay this is getting F***ING ridiculous!!!! I was away for a couple of days and find out the yes, we took the series from GW, but @$#%##%@#$## our leading candidate for conference player of the year Pat Clohisy was hit by a pitch Saturday and removed from the game and didnt play Sunday. We are TOAST if he we are going to be missing him. This is BS! We have two Player of the Year type offensive weapons and both are out because of HPBs! @BillTheCat??? ANYONE??? close to the program have any updates??????

The ladies need to win tonight and then win a damn title tomorrow! I saw a bit of the VCU mens match across from SLU this morning. They look really, really good and are going to be very tough to beat.

Well it started in Fairfax, VA (vb) then to Richmond (ws) on to Myrtle Beach (mbb). Then it was baseball in Port Charlotte, FL, Millington, TN, Hammond and New Orleans, LA. On to Edwardsville, IL (wbb). Now at the A10 Tennis Championships in Orlando. Amazing complex. #4 seed men playing in the quarterfinals this morning against Mason. The ladies play tonight in the semis. They are the #2 seed and #1 VCU was upset last night. I don’t think either SLU team has ever made a regional. That would be really cool.
