Nate Latsch
Why don't you just start another thread on Leon Powell?
Billikenbooster
I hear we haven't offered yet? or have we? What do you all think? mhg
slu72
Who knows? Pdiddy says yes, hard to doubt him, and V says no but if we did he'd jump at the offer??????
Box and Won
Who's Leon Powell? ;-)
slu72
He would be the next Vashon player destined for All American status.
Billiken75
On the Powell offer, I trust p diddy 100% - his track record is right on.
bauman
Not only the next, but also the FIRST. No insult meant to one of my favorite all-time Bills---Anthony Bonner.
Box and Won
Wasn't AB an all-american? I thought that's why we retired his number.
thetorch
AB was a candidate for All American, I think they nominate 50 players maybe but only a few make true all america status. I think the combination of this and leading the nation in a major statistical category is why he has his number retired.
Majerus Magic
Liu Yiaoyu, PG?
Quality Is Job 1
...Not to mention the fact that he's the school's all-time leading scorer. Retiring his number is a no-brainer.

VTIME
>Why don't you just start another thread on Leon Powell? No there are other guys who Brad could be looking at. Powell's AAU teammate George Goode for instance. If he's looking to be one and done, SLU would be the place to go.
bauman
VTIME, I'm surprised you are relying on other members of this Board for this information. I have done extensive research so as to be able to answer your question. I was unable to find out who we were "looking" at, but was able to put together a definitive list of who we have "offered" from that list. Here they are: B BARZ J DIEBLER A JOHNSON N MILES H POPE P WILLIAMS C WRIGHT B COLE P DIA K ELLIS K KOUFOS A MOORE L PAGE A J STEWART C TRENT T WEAR A ALLEN M CASS J GRANT B GRIFFIN J JOHNSON (No, not our Justin) G JOHNSON H SIMS & D WEAR As with your numerous recommendations, I have personally seen each of these players on more than 3 occasions and have gotten to know each of them on a personal basis. Although Brad will not confirm the following, it is my understanding that he offered most of these players after finding out that Floyd Irons had attempted to get all of them to "move" into the Vashon region. (Even if it merely meant having a P O Box in the northern mid-city area.) Let's hope we get most, if not all, of them at Harris-Stowe West. I hope the above is responsive to your inquiry. VTIME
One of the guys on your list is AJ Steward. Here's a link to a rivals.com article that mentions how Powell outplayed the top 100 forward. http://rivalshoops.rivals.com/content.asp?SID=910&CID=539400
bauman
Good grief, VTIME. I don't have a list. You may want to work on your "perception of sarcasm" skills before you apply at the NY Times or The Sporting News.
