OkieBilliken Posted March 31 Author Posted March 31 Very enjoyable weekend for the SLU sb. Outclassed SJU and should have swept. Offense really coming along now. Scout Gallagher wins A10 Rookie of the week. Stu dropped a really nice article today on SLU slugger Abby Mallo. Another high-quality person. Stu's profiles are sooo good. Hopefully she becomes SLUs all time HR leader at some point next year. TheA_Bomb and billikenbill 2 Quote
OkieBilliken Posted April 11 Author Posted April 11 SB is really rolling, sweeping GW over the weekend and taking a double header from Loyola this week. We could still win this conference as we have already gotten through the toughest part of the schedule. I was looking forward to watching them this weekend against RI, who are not very good. Then I find out the weekend series is cancelled (cold temps/light rain) and a single doubleheader will take place on Monday and it doesnt look like its on ESPN+. Crap!!! We really could have used 3 games vs RI to make a move on the top spot. Where is global warming when we need it? Quote

I just checked both teams' websites and social media pages and there's nothing saying that. Quote

Pistol Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Got it. I misread that. Thought the series was canceled altogether. Quote
OkieBilliken Posted April 14 Author Posted April 14 Two shutouts and a double header sweep at Rhode Island today. Thats nine straight conference wins! Pistol and billikenbill 2 Quote
OkieBilliken Posted April 16 Author Posted April 16 Today’s game with Eastern was cancelled and the Mason series was moved up a day due to weather. I like this. EIU is pretty good and better they save our hot pitchers for this crucial series. Hopefully they can get the games in with the pending weather. The conference is still winnable. Quote

I'm hearing rumblings at other schools about facility upgrades. It's a pretty exciting sport for TV. Quote

College softball is a top tier made for tv sporting event, is a hill I've been dying on for years. 90-105 minute games, perfection. Quote

Really is the tournament is awesome sadly it's always in a terrible location benefiting one of the worst schools. But near where I live it's on in the sports bars and everyone's into it. Nice to see this SLU run. Will they have a chance at a regional bid? Or do they have to win the A10 for that? Quote

The 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 NCAA softball tournaments all only had 1 A10 team in each of them, the winner of the conference championship. However, all 13 SEC schools that have softball teams made it in last year… Quote

billikenbill Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Now down 4-2 following a solo shot. For a 9-30 team the Bonnies have some pop in the lineup. Hochman having a rough outing. Quote
billikenbill Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Bills with a ten spot in the 5th! Up 12-6 and still batting. Quote
billikenbill Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Game 1, Bills run rule the Bonnies 15-6. Game 2, no score mid-4th. Quote
