Lord Elrond Posted February 11 Share Posted February 11 35-28 Rhodey, SLU decided the way to deal with TO’s was force more, so even though they now have 12, they are winning the TO battle 13-12 by forcing 10 TO’s from URI in the quarter. Peyton Kennedy now with 15 pts, she’s been hitting her shots, but Kyla McMakin is only 2-10, need her to hit her shots to have a chance. Keep up the defense and make shots. Peyton Kennedy on fire with 26 pts, and Julia Martinez made a highlight reel jump shot at the buzzer. They actually tied the game twice in the 3rd qtr. They didn’t allow a URI FG in the last 4 1/2 minutes, and ended up forcing 25 TO’s while only ending up with 17. Peyton Kennedy with 31 pts, Kyla McMakin 17, they shot 72.7% in the 4th quarter. The Billikens kept them from scoring another field goal the rest of the game, URI only scored 2 free throws in that span. Shut them down. She is still working as hard as anyone but that leg injury is preventing her from flying around like she did last year. It’s amazing the numbers she has put up this year since she has come back from the injury considering. I’m thinking this is why she didn’t start yesterday??? Coach Tillet has been limiting her minutes, bringing her in after the first few minutes each half so she comes in fresh, stuff like that.
