Lord Elrond
There were no divisions in the NCAA before 1956. In 1956, the NCAA created the University and College Divisions, they split the College Division apart in 1973 and renamed them Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 (even using fancy Roman Numerals to show how forward thinking they were)…

Bay Area Billiken
When I was growing up, up river in Quincy, Easy Ed Macauley was the sports anchor on KTVI, Channel 2 in STL, then ABC, now the Fox affiliate. He also provided the color commentary on the Missouri Valley Conference Game of the Week on Saturday afternoons, that followed American Bandstand. Later he was at most SLU games. We would see him in his sweater at halftime towering over the concourse at 6’8”.
BigMouthBilliken
There needs to be a full investigation into the history of the SLU athletic department. To have the honor of #1 in the first bball AP Poll, to have completed the first forward pass in football history….fast forward to today and basically zero real culture and nothing to show for it. It’s criminal! thetorch and Schasz like this
