3star_recruit
Jayson Tatum and company will again be the headliner but if you want see 6'6 swingman Brendon Gooch in action, this is a great opportunity. Althoff is matched up against the best team they'll see all year, Westchester St. Joseph, the 2nd ranked 3A team in Illinois. Gooch is Althoff's tallest player so he'll have to figure out a way to slow down 6'9 junior forward Nick Rakocevic. Rakocevic is a consensus top 75 player with double-digit high major offers. Althoff's game starts at 5:15pm. Chaminade vs. East St. Louis is the last game of the night at 8:15.

Littlebill
They're $10 each. They're almost sold out. Got one myself.
Littlebill
At the Althoff-St Joes game now. Gooch is a player
JettFlight5
I have heard nothing but good things about Althoff's entire roster this year.
Littlebill
I have heard nothing but good things about Althoff's entire roster this year. I've watched the second half. They go about eight deep and they all can play.
SLUfan_42
Althoff 95 Westchester 97 in Double OT. Goodwin with 31 points/15 rebounds with (20 after the third quarter)
billiken_roy
Tatum is the best high school player I have ever seen in person. He would be the first pick in the draft this year if they let high school juniors in the draft. Wow. What a show.

Tilmon will be a good player at whatever level he chooses to play. Bigs aren't supposed to move like he does. And give the dunk Cook threw down a look. He just tweeted it. Awesome games. Well worth the ticket price.
TheChosenOne
What an event. I was really impressed with Tarkus Ferguson and Jordan Goodwin from Althoff as well Althoff as a team until they choked it up late. Goodwin is just a man, relentless. I understand the question with him, but he should have an offer, I think the kid will find a way to produce at whatever position he is playing. Tarkus was really good as well, really smooth player. Althoff's coach is brutal. Really sad to see them blow that game twice. Jayson Tatum was incredible tonight, NBA player on a high school court and offensively looks like he could be on a NBA court today and have some production. The kid is the real deal without question, so skilled offensively. I really like Tilmon from East St. Louis and did not expect to based on his numbers which are not great. The kid is definitely a 5 star big. He wasn't utilized very well by ESL after the 1st half and the #s may not have been there, but when he did get the ball in the post Cook and Gladson could not handle him. He moves incredibly well for a 6'11 sophomore. Definitely the next big time STL recruit. I saw most of the Vianney game. Gordon was somewhat slowed, but the kid is a load for a freshman and has grown into his body unlike so many young bigs. Moves really well, crazy that he is just 14 (or however old a freshman is). The kid really should consider playing football if he doesn't already play, might be good to have two options.
SLU_Nick
Would Chamimade beat SLU on a neutral court?
3star_recruit
I was hoping that Gooch would be able to hold his own against Rakocevic but never thought he would outplay him. Did his usual yeoman's job on the boards in addition to scoring. Good job by the skinny kid from Belleville. I'm looking forward to the kind of player he'll be 20lb from now. Althoff should have pulled this out. When you miss 18 free throws, it's hard to beat good teams. I was also surprised that the smallish kid Watson was able to do so much damage against Althoff's long-limbed perimeter defense. They're usually pretty good about not letting one man beat them but the kid was in the zone.
kmbilliken
Would Chamimade beat SLU on a neutral court? That would be a great match up if for nothing else, to see how Goodwin would produce against Chaminade's front line. I'd pick Chaminade by 10. I don't see how Althoff could handle Cook and no one can handle Tatum.

I'd pick Chaminade by 10. I don't see how Althoff could handle Cook and no one can handle Tatum. They would be favored by 3 over our SLU college team according to my program. Chaminade would beat althoff by 30, but that's not what's being asked
