jimbofive
That honestly makes me sad What for? That he began and ended a sentence with "man"? Yeah, it is kinda sad. Glad he still supports the team, though.
mrslu
That honestly makes me sad Seems like a nice enough kid. Academics obviously wasn't his thing. I think he was in tarining camp with the Cavaliers, but didn't make it.

White Pelican
If SLU ran a pro program like (cough) Kentucky (cough) he'd be starting today.
MB73
If SLU ran a pro program like (cough) Kentucky (cough) he'd be starting today. I would go further and say if we ran a program like 90% of NCAA teams.
mrslu
He's with their D league team currently He must be hurt or something, because he's not on the Canton roster and has no stats. Marcus Relphord's name is on there. http://www.nba.com/dleague/canton/statistics/
mrslu
I would go further and say if we ran a program like 90% of NCAA teams. As I recall Willie wasn't making grades (in addition to everything else that happened).

Tonka
Not all sure we would have been better with Willie. I know people think I am crazy for saying that. I love Willie and hope he does great things. But, Willie was all about Willie. This team had great chemistry and I think we were better off without Willie this year. Our rotation would have been even bigger and I am not sure that would have been a good thing. Now, if Willie would have changed, gotten in great shape with great stamina, kept his academics in order, didn't make it all about Willie, stayed out of trouble, was a team first guy - well, then this team would have been even more special. My guess is that WR would have started off great, became ineligible during the season, and then it would have set the team back. Everything that was supposed to happen this year did happen and WR was not part of the picture. I will still follow WR and hope he makes it to the next level. Nothing wrong with a Billiken ambassador hopefully playing someday in the NBA.
slu72
Just wish we had the opportunity to see what this team would have been like with WR. We needed more interior strength and he would have gave it to us.
brianstl
If SLU ran a pro program like (cough) Kentucky (cough) he'd be starting today. Wilie was such a mess that he couldn't even transfer into another program like K State.
billikenfan922
Willie Reed is rehabing in Canton Ohio after having ankle surgery in January. He will not play this year, but hopes to play for the Cleveland D-league team in Canton Ohio next year.
dlarry
No love for his former co-train cunductor and current Ohio Bobcat Jon Smiff?? He did want to make the sacrafices to be here so screw him. I hope he gets it figured out and has a long career some place. I just wish we could have used him for one game. The MSU game. Maybe he would of been able to slow down Draymond.
