Shimmy out as womens coach

Recommended Posts

You would be surprised this job pays between 100,000 and 200,000. Title 9. Pizzoti spent 1 million and brought in $12,000 Yes this is true Levick said she has to go. Now to the important issue I've always said SLU women's hoop is a sleeping Giant, Chaifetz, Very good school, excellent recruiting ground, Awesome opportunity for some coach. But beware Our AD Chris May's hiring of coaches record is hard to swallow. McGinty and Miller the volleyball coach ( you dont lose to Fordham at home). Then he talks in the paper(May) like he will be able to pull in someone special, think again. AND look at all the people that have left since May's arrival not good!

He's talking about Kent Miller, the volleyball coach. Easy, killer. Easy. There's more than one person with the last name Miller in the world.

It's a mat with conclusions on it...

Title IX.

They have to play there, otherwise we are sexist.

Not to argue or anything, but UNC women's hoops does not play a majority of their home games at the Smith Center. In fact, they play at the smaller Carmichael Auditorium in Chapel Hill (until '86, that was also the men's home court).

@Pistol --- wait a minute. We're lookign at bringing back an assistant from a coach who might arguably be the worst in SLU history in Jill Pizzoti? How is that sense?

I don't even know him and say go with the Marist guy.

If volfan is correct, then yes: http://www.rolltide.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/evans_ty00.html

For what it's worth, I was never a fan of Jill's coaching while she was at SLU, but Evans always seemed to be worthy of a much better job than an assistant on her staff. Bad coaches can have good assistants.

He's going after coaches that are still trying to transition into the job. Let's keep firing people every year that will yield results!

Firing people all of the time seems to work great. Ask the Cleveland Browns.
