DavidKing
It was a night game.
gister
You may be correct. However, I don't remember any SLU NCAA games being at night over the last 15 years. They always seemed to be in the morning or afternoon. What is your source?
EastSide
anybody remember the SLU UMass game when Marcus Camby was their center and they were number 2 in the nation. We got dominated.
crymdg2
The SLU-Utah game was definately a night game, 48-45 I believe was the final score. All I can remember about the game was a guy from Utah missed a pass and had to run back and grab the ball where he then was forced to throw up a 35-40 footer as the shot clock was going off and made it. It simply killed us. The SLU-UMASS game when Hughes was playing was an afternoon game, maybe that is what you are thinking about.
DeSmetBilliken
I don't have a source about the game time, but the SLU-Utah game in 2000 was definitely at night. I was in high school at the time, and the game definitely wasn't going on while I was in school or at tennis practice immediately following school. willie
The Utah game in Cleveland was a night game, didn't start untill something like 9:30 pm Eastern time. It was one of the last games of the day.It was hard finding a bar that stayed open after the game to drown our sorrows.

kappy96
When UMASS played SLU at the then Kiel Center ('95 I think), Marcus Camby didn't make the trip because of a family funeral, but Lou Roe dominated Scotty, Claggs and the boys. The place was rocking, 20K+, and it was electric. The UMASS NCAA game in '98 was an afternoon game for sure and I don't think Camby was on that team. After winning that one, we proceeded to get DESTROYED by UK 2 days later......
Archy McNally
Actually, I remember Camby playing against us at the Kiel. I remember him pointing to the crowd and doing the hip thrust after blocking a shot. UK did win the championship that year, so you could say we were only 27pts away from a national championship. Box and Won
I'm almost 100% positive that Camby did not play in that game.
billiken_roy
camby was injured when umass visited in the claggett/highmark days. you must be thinking of lou roe.
Westy03
He wasnt injured, he was at a family members funeral. Lou Roe was simply unstopable. Everytime down the court you just here the PA announcer. "LOU.... ROE.."
