There’s no Billiken hate out of 99% of this board. You’re just confusing frustration with hate. We all just want to get back to where we know we should and can be and unfortunately that means Ford needs to be canned and even May. But both of those guys have made millions and they are fine.
No disagreement in general. I (and many others) are just tired of the consistent negativity. And it doesn't help that many of those constantly posting snarky sh!t really do little or nothing for the program.
Those who want their voices heard, write the check. Many have and their voices are heard. And, yes, several of them are not big fans of Travis. But you will not see them posting here.
I understand that most cannot write "the check", but if that is the case, don't be an MBA, just be a basic MBM.

You guys do realize that there is a fairly large group of former contributors to this board who no longer post, but we are all in a large text group together sharing our thoughts about the games (mostly pro SLU). We are the ones who travel with the team to away games, always show up at the conference tournament, and substantially fund the BVF and other Billiken athletic efforts. Contrary to what the MBAs think, we are not diehard Ford fans, but we are diehard SLU fans.
While you are blinded by your hatred of Ford, we just want to see the Billikens do well. We clearly exist in two separate worlds.

This team played their guts out. Down five with under a minute left to the #21 team in the country on their home floor where they virtually never lose. A handful posters were consistently positive. And yet many (most?) of the rest were just salivating for a Billiken meltdown - so obvious. WTF?!?! Is this not YOUR team? And a bunch of "regular" posters were pretty silent which one can only assume was because the Billikens weren't getting destroyed.
The snark from the MBAs every time the Bills made a mistake was disgusting. There are a lot of us who still support this team. And many of us are the ones the others talk about - the ones writing the big checks. But a lot of us are sick of the MBAs on this board. If you really hate Travis and the team THAT much, go post on the opponents board. Let those who support the team enjoy reasonable discussion (at least in GDTs) about the team we love and support regardless of who the coach or AD is.

From my perspective, this was not a problem on previous Ford teams. Go tell guys like Goodwin, French, Bess, Linssen or the limited current players like Parker, Thatch and Hargrove that they have no passion. Let me know how that works out for you.
I am disappointed with several of the current players in terms of fire/passion but I don’t see it as an endemic especially given Travis’ personality.

With a few (maybe just a couple) exceptions, our players simply have no fire. That’s the season in a nutshell.
Key for the future is to recruit not just athletes but leaders with passion. Lots of fire and passion.

I love Tillet, and time will tell how good she really is, but today is about the players. When they needed to step up, they did big time! You can’t coach that. You either have passion, fire and focus or you don’t and these girls have it by the boatload!!
