I had assumed metz got banned again. Just taking a break from the board metz? Or too busy prepping for your starring role on the evening news?

Obviously we are thin at the 5, but I am encouraged that Loe is mentioned as a day one starter when guys like MM and DE are not. I have to think he is impressing the coaching staff this summer.

Metz can continue to believe the blog is not credible, while the rest of us can continue to enjoy the info...problem solved. Keep the info coming guys!

+1. If one is going to subscribe to the "RM is evil and doesn't care about players" theory, then why didn't he just tell CS that all is well for next year and then just use him as a practice player? He knows the system and is better than a walkon, so it seems to me he would be more useful to coach in practice.

Just because a kid is 5'9" doesn't make him Polk 2.0. I'm not saying he will be Allen Iverson either, but I think the fact that RM and company are interested this early says that he has potential even if he doesn't grow any taller.

I don't know metz, one has to wonder how hard he actually tried. Passing a few low level classes isn't that big of deal, especially if he didn't have team activities to be concerned with. If he did give it an honest effort...fine, and good luck to him. I just don't think WR has that fire required to be successful, esp to make it in the NBA. I think RM said once that Willie was the only player he had to motivate. He's just another one of those frustrating cases of having all of the talent in the world, but too lazy to max it out.

Very disappointing if true. Didn't even make through the first semester back...sad. He has about as much of a chance to get drafted as I do right now.

Maybe my opinion is a little skewed from the last game, which was probably CR's worst of the year. I wasn't trying to say that Manning would step in and make an impact; I don't believe he will either (obviously would be awesome if he did). My point was that CR doesn't bring much to the table and has shown little improvement over 2 years, so his role could probably be assumed by Manning (assuming at least CE, RL, BC are good for lots of minutes next year).

Maybe. Cory couldn't even be on the floor the last game of the season (RI), which is very concerning. He showed a couple of flashes in a couple of games this year, but I don't think his services are going to be needed in the future. At 6'8, he hasn't shown that he has what it takes to play here. I have a hard time believing that Manning couln't assume CR's role next year. If we a have a recruit to take his place, I say go for it.

If this topic would've been started by any other poster, save for 3Jack, it probably wouldn't have caused a stir. It's a legit question. CS showed flashes last year. For whatever reason, this year has been a big struggle. As to whether he was a legit D1 recruit, I believe the answer is yes. He just hasn't progressed as would've been expected. Happens all of the time..
