if Sports Illustrated is correct that 4 out of our 7 top minutes on the floor guys are the players returning and 2 out if the top 3 scorers are returning players, their  8th place prediction is probably correct.

In part because I consider his wife a friend and because she's a terrific human being, I shall once again stand up against the ridiculous Stu-bashing. (I'd do it for Stu directly, but I can only assess his terrific human beingness by association. Although he has always been very nice to me.) 
Stu works much more than a full-time job. Plus, as I mentioned earlier, he's doing a very cool long-term research project, which causes some pretty big sacrifices on his part. 
Making "fan" a job requirement of a beat writer is unethical in the extreme. (I should note that I saw some fabulously unethical things happen at the paper, but in general the grown-ups of my era wouldn't have stooped to this level.)
As Metz pointed out, Mi$$ou tends to get its grads covering the program because there are a kazillion Mi$$ou J-school grads. SLU, on the other hand, doesn't even have a J-school. If they had posted Tom T.'s job when he left and required a SLU degree, they could have internally promoted, let's see -- me, Avis and Cleora Hughes, and they could have pushed it by hiring one of the folks who was in night school at SLU Law (Side note: Probably because I don't have one, I've never seen the benefit of a journalism degree, and in fact I think that media outlets being run by journalists has accelerated their decline.)
Finally, the main problem with this whole discussion is that no one gives a flying fuok about SLU recruiting, save for people on this board and the occasional AAU coach who might be looking for prey among h.s. underclassmen.

all fan billiken wear should always be billiken blue and all fans should always wear billiken blue to EVERY billiken event.  A sea of blue would add to the homecourt advantage and be very intimidating.
 the billiken athletes for all sports should always wear white uniforms at home and billiken blue uniforms on the road.   
no alternatives for all of the above.  
any fan wearing black or gold at a billiken event should be arrested and removed immediately from the event.

The team needs to stop giving out/selling different colors.

i would venture to guess that you wont find a university in the country that specifically covers orgies/making sex recordings in their rules of conduct.

im not too far from your above scenario.   i do think though that if ALL parties were consensual it probably doesnt need to be expulsion.  but there should be punishment.  now if there is any actual non consensual activity, then i would probably jump on the expulsion wagon and there should likely be criminal charges.   from all indications of rumors the non consensual thing is not in play here.

I humbly hope this was a good thread that didn't upset the balance of this board and it's subscribers.

Unfortunately, this is news.  It would be nice to get some positive stories too but I can't fault the post for it's coverage in this case.  Their story about the lawyers involved couldn't have been more pro player.   

That is totally untrue.  If you want to blame someone you can blame Fr. Biondi for not backing the players during the last incident.  Why would Chris May hang the arguably two best players out to dry and cost us a possible NCAA bid, and of course, the money that goes with it.  Nice first post.  It's obvious that there is one or maybe a few more people that have just signed up to this site for the sole purpose of bad mouthing Chris May. 
FYI, I go back as far as Larry Albus being our athletic director (when I was a baseball player on the team that finished 3rd in the College World Series).  I have lived through Ron Ekker as AD, as well as Larry Preo, who was a good guy but couldn't handle the administration (Charles Schroeder), Jim Bakken, Joe Yates (now there was a real scandal), Debbie Yow who had a vendetta to fire Rich Grawer whom she said couldn't recruit (please look at the leading scorers in the history of Billiken basketball) Doug Woolard, Cheryl Levick, and now Chris May.  Chris has raised more money for the department and been responsible for doing more to help the individual teams and their coaches succeed than any one of the former AD's.
I think it is time for the moderators to step in and do something about these trolls and their slanderous comments.

I am no longer wondering.  I know.  Chris May should be fired!  This latest news is totally on him.  This is the second time this has happened and he didn't do his homework on Ford and the type of players he brings.  Smart punched a fan!  Marcus Smart such a great character.  And now this.  Chris May and his underlings need to be FIRED!  Some say he's the best AD SLU ever had, he now needs to be the best former AD SLU ever had!  What's it going to take people?  At this moment with SLU under this kind of investigation I can't think of anyone who would want to jump on our bandwagon and become a Billiken.  This is so totally embarrassing.  May is embarrassing.  HE NEEDS TO GO TODAY!!!!!!
And for those posters who want to scream "troll"  that's your M-O.  You don't like what someone says on here and you scream "Troll"!  How about writing something that would convince us otherwise?   Well that would be virtually impossible today. 

It makes those who railed on Tilmon for getting an underage drinking violation in Columbia seem quite petty now.  I don't know why, but that really bothered me.
I hope this was just one big misunderstanding.  I feel most for Ford right now.  What does he have to be thinking?
More information needs to come out to see what exactly happened.  Let's not jump to conclusions.   These are allegations.  No one was arrested, so that is a good sign.  At least, I hope nobody was arrested.  More so, I hope nobody was victimized.
