  3. They have one from Orlando to Miami that seems to run fine - I know people who say they use it.
  4. I stand corrected. I thought they went from awful to dumpster fire but they were just dumpster fire the whole time. It was Ford's best effort at a long, wing defender but it was a miserable failure.
  5. Total WAG but we got 3 years. In that time will SLU be elevated enough to grab a successful Drake Coach? McCollum sitting right there waiting to come back to his home state. In the Eye on College Basketball Podcast (I mentioned previously), Parrish and Norlander also assert they believe SLU is right for the Big East. They list good facilities (newer arena) and natural recruiting base as reasons. It was great to hear two of the top CBB reporters make the case.
  6. For those who didn't watch any ISU this year. https://x.com/mzaschertz/status/1783816126540939680
  7. Seems pretty crazy to rank anyone while the transfer portal is still in full gear. A few teams have had their rosters completely reshaped (for better and worse!) just in the last few days.
  8. This train line could put St. Louis on the map. But I'd be wary of a bunch of east coast carpet baggers showing up. My business partner Samuel Cupples wants to market our wares to the travelers.
  9. I think we get Pitbull when we get to the Early Top 25, maybe the on time Top 25 aka The Top 25 and hopefully in the Late Top 25. But not the Top 25 and 1.
  10. Yeah also GCU, Liberty, Baylor, JoeLab's mom, pseudo post-modernism, diploma factories. Guys pay attention.
  11. Dayton, I expect, haha. The vitriol against Dayton is justified.
  12. Wake me up when they break ground. They've been talking about this since before I was born. What a non story.
  13. I love taking the train to Chicago. And, if you book early, it’s only $20-25.
  14. Today
  15. Projections this early are too early, but that said, national recognition helps recruiting and scheduling.
  16. You haven't heard me talk about Dayton, then?
  17. I think you should add "travelin' man" or "King of the Road" to your bio at this point. This is super cool!
  18. I think logging into my account when I'm either buzzed/drunk or tired is almost always a mistake, but I regret nothing.
  19. Well it started in Fairfax, VA (vb) then to Richmond (ws) on to Myrtle Beach (mbb). Then it was baseball in Port Charlotte, FL, Millington, TN, Hammond and New Orleans, LA. On to Edwardsville, IL (wbb). Now at the A10 Tennis Championships in Orlando. Amazing complex. #4 seed men playing in the quarterfinals this morning against Mason. The ladies play tonight in the semis. They are the #2 seed and #1 VCU was upset last night. I don’t think either SLU team has ever made a regional. That would be really cool.
  20. Exactly. I can fly one way from DFW to PHL tomorrow on a wide body Boeing 787 tomorrow for $186 and be there in time for my morning constitution right next to independence hall.
  21. I think a Billikens.com after dark segment would be great. BJCH would be my leadoff hitter.
  22. Dear lord, it does not pay to be any level of inebriated in this conversation. I am, though, genuinely surprised at Pete's hostility towards Mason as I've never seen them as a serious rival/program.
  23. Train travel will never be able to compete with driving for most people - either need a car wherever you get to or somebody to pick you up. If train travel is going to ever be successful it must be able to be high speed. I took a high speed train from Rome to Naples and it was spectacular but, on the way, back there was not one available for the time I had travel and it was slow, behind schedule due to all the stops, and not even close to experience. Most people can not give days to travel just to take a nap and read a book.
