I have reached billiken_roy levels of posting (7/7)

  1. I have no problem with less home games, but it is only fair for price adjustment. If they take that away game as you proposed, won't they get a pay day to offset the home tix cost reduction plus save on the buy price they would have to give the non D1 opponent. If we won't get the payoff then I fail to see the advantage at all. Travel costs, no payoff, and loss of home revenue seems a big loser for us not to mention the possibility of a loss on the road to a top team with the odds of a win pretty low.
  2. I do the same. I give those tix to charity - no longer a deduction but maybe somebody would want to go
  3. Who
  4. Thanks for the answers - OG and LE
  5. Related questions - this Big Ugly Bill will tax private universities endowment up from 1.4% to 8% - correct, is this only on the revenue or the entire endowment? Next, why not tax the revenue of public universities endowments?
  6. Not a huge deal to me but since we are taking about May's wardrobe - should it not have been something Billiken?
  7. The Dome is to big for them to use and the one of the worst basketball viewing experiences I have ever had.
  8. The term interim was his way out - interim means just for now. May had an escape hatch but refused for whatever the reason not to take it.
  9. I am confused - how does your post have anything to do with the Crews issue. She quit because she was going to be let go anyway - I didn't like that she left but Biondi made it untenable. Honestly, Brad would not have been the hill I would have picked to die on.
  10. Not sure how it still works but the MSHAA rules said you have to move in order to get a waiver to transfer and still play. The move had to be one that would require a change of schools that prevented you from still attending or distance driven. A bigger problem for private schools. The school could sign off on a transfer if you had a hardship issue at play - for example you had to move out of your parents' house for safety reasons (you can guess) but not just because you simply want to get out. It was not uncommon for the school not to sign off if the kid really did not have a valid reason.
  11. Complaining about July 11 or 9 is a bit silly. The date is not critical. I know of people in the past who have literally forgot to renew and called weeks later and the tix office was able to accommodate them and they kept their same seats. Why do you think it takes a long time for the process so a day or two is nothing. Once again, I know some will be offended by this post but to complain about every little thing only lessens when a real issue arises. As I have said in the past - I am not an apologist for May in fact I would be fine if he moved on but we have to be real.
  12. Why would any school want to step into this quagmire at the D1 level?
  13. If you are talking about somebody in their backyard then OK but not in restaurants they smoke and dry rubs.
  14. I am not sure I would agree with almost never smoked. Go to a good BBQ place and it is smoked.
  15. I am no expert on women's softball but from what little I know a great pitcher can make an avg. team into a top one. Apparently, they can pitch on very short rest unlike men.
