TheA_Bomb Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/42001025/mens-ncaa-basketball-player-rank-2024-25-preseason-top-100 I know I'm biased but I think Gibson should be on this list in the 90s. Avila is the top ranked A10 player and I didn't notice any players from any other schools in the state of Missouri that are very irrelevant. BrettJollyComedyHour 1 Quote

WUH Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 No way a third team A-10 conference player from a 13-20 team is going to break a preseason Top 100 list in his sixth season, but let's hope for the postseason lists. Quote

From what I have read and seen (when he played for Indiana State), Swope is top 100 or close to it. Jimerson is a heck of a player but Swope appears to be every bit the 3 point shooter as Jimerson, but with athleticism and quickness that might just inch him in front of Jimerson. The Bills are fortunate to have Avila, Jimerson and Swope. And mark my word, Thames will have a breakout year. CenHudDude 1 Quote

Said the same to some friends and family the other day. When’s the last time we had 3 players that would get significant minutes on almost any team in the country? Avila and Swope could’ve gone anywhere, and we heard Gibson was lining up a visit to the back to back national champions… I know we have a few unknowns, but I can’t believe there isn’t more hype around us going into the season. Still I’d rather be picked fourth and finish first than picked first and finish fourth. I call that the Ford special. Quote

I was thinking about expectations today listening to Norlander and Parrish podcast "Best of the Rest" episode. I think we'll get into this more in the season prediction thread, but 2 of those 3 players aren't that great at defense. So that could be part of it. Quote
