ARon
Gotta love to hear this: They beat VCU, they beat GW and they beat UMass and because they have young players there was just that little shake and they ended up as losses, he said. Their record is only their record because of a couple of shakes in those three games. They flat-out beat those teams, and they won this game. Taj79
Phil was quite on-target with this and the ref's being consistent I thought ......

Tonka
Yep, it's not all doom and gloom this year. Our record will stink, but we have a lot to be excited about.
BJK
Worth pointing out that his team played a solid game as well. At one point in the first half I thought they looked better than anybody we have yet faced... on both ends. Bembry is fun to watch. Conference POY. ACE
Worth pointing out that his team played a solid game as well. At one point in the first half I thought they looked better than anybody we have yet faced... on both ends. Bembry is fun to watch. Conference POY. Good point. With the way they came out, it looked like we were going to get run out of the building. They were a hot team, we're coming off a couple of recent close losses at home. Could've been time for a letdown. Give the kids credit. Didn't panic and began to match the intensity needed to compete in conference games. We started playing defense which allowed us to slowly climb back into the game. It really helped cutting their lead to 5 by halftime. It could have been much worse. slufanskip
It tells you how close we are to being 5-4 in conference. I count us at 3-6 as I count GW as a win. The game thread is ridiculous. Maybe some people on here should find a different team to root for.
thetorch
The fan base must agree with how he interprets wins and losses otherwise he would have been fired long ago. Martelli is the most overrated coach in America. We've beaten his team 9 times in a row now I expect that streak to at least double.
hsmith19
Seems like their fan base has been calling for Martelli's head ever since SLU joined the A-10. Can't remember the last time I read a story about them without a bunch of fans coming out of the woodwork to bash him, even after they won the tourney last year. JamesJX
With the way they turned out, it appeared as though we were going to get use up the building. They were a hot group, we're falling off a few late close misfortunes at home. Could've been the ideal time for a frustration. Give the children credit. Didn't frenzy and started to match the force expected to contend in gathering recreations. We began playing barrier which permitted us to gradually move go into the diversion. It truly helped slicing their lead to 5 by halftime. It could have been much more terrible.
