Yes, Frazier did play at SIUC. When I was giving myself a self-guided tour of SIU arena while buying tickets the day before the SLU-SIU game in November, I saw a photo on the wall of a sign that read "Frazier and Romney in '68". It refers to George Romney's presidential campaign in 1968. Frazier's career at SIU ended a year or two before that. Also, if Wikipedia is to be trusted, the famous "College" shirt worn by John Belushi in Animal House was something John made for when he was visiting his brother Jim down at SIU.
