They get constantly overlooked in the SEC. As a state, South Carolina has some of the best college baseball in the Union with USC, Clemson even costal Carolina and the college of Charleston having phenomenal teams. Citadel is the only military school to even make it to Omaha!

This is a microcosm of the whole NIL thing killing the upper tier mid-major programs. A kid will just tinker with the SLU’s of the world until a power 5 school picks up the phone. LSU rode the coattails of a pitcher they poached from none other than the US Air Force Academy, and his former teammates showed up in Omaha with one of his old USAFA jerseys, as we live in the most interesting of times. I don’t know if I’d want to be within 1,000 yards of a former teammate who decided to leave a team behind, regardless of where he ended up.
