Every now and again it is good to take some time away. A time to focus one's energy on something else. Go outside, breathe the fresh air, learn how to paint. Granted I don't heed that advice is all aspects of life but I think there are certain instances it is necessary.

I wish someone told me this while I was playing baseball at SLU! I had to change majors 2 times and take summer classes to graduate in 4 years. My parents weren't paying for 4.5 year education for me and missing practically every Spring semester due to travel made school tough. I did get a new glove each season so there was that.

Awesome job Skip! Yes, I know Ortyl (Aka Hammer), John and Eric very well. I didn't play with them but they got me hammered on my recruiting trip. They are great guys and the Ortyl's do a great thing with the foundation.

Definitely a disappointing end to the season. Congrats to the team and especially the senior class, they should be proud. It's a shame the A10 isnt stronger in baseball. Winning the tournament is a crapshoot. First place finishes in the old C-USA days would get you an autobid and most likely hosting a regional. Darin is a great coach and has taken the program to a new level. We are fortunate to have him and I hope he sticks around a long time. And 05, watch your mouth.

I played back in the day! I was more joking at the stretcher being used for a hamstring injury. It was like he was shot or something.

If Altidore is out, we are going to either see guys ready for prime time (Green, Johannson) or they will be exposed. I hope its a strain that only needs a bit of time. I'm a little more concerned with Besler given our depth at centerback. It might be more than a strain, I think with a strain you can walk off under your own power. They pretty much has a hearse out there for him. He's toast.

If he doesn't become a Billiken then I hope he ends up at Arkansas. I like when they beat Missouri and to me that will be the 2nd best thing.

Another good season, bummer no tournament but the momentum is building.
