we now have forced 3 turnovers in at least the last 73 minutes of playing time

our offensive rebounding is awful. We attempt a shot from further than 10 feet and no one goes near the basket to retrieve a rebound. We don't give up fast-break points, but teams don't care because they can score inside on us in the half court at will. Ford was quoted as saying we need to play more like Jordan Goodwin but he needs to coach us properly so that we can rebound despite our size. I would also like to see Bruce get the ball passed to him in the low post. Of course he needs to be positioned there and not at the free throw line.

Do we have any information on where the break is in his foot, and what type of fracture? Hairline fracture of fibula might take 3 weeks to heal? Fracture of tibia or tarsal or metatarsals might be much longer.

I attended the pre-season NIT game. My son was a student at IU at that time.

We should be able to watch Goodwin on TV more often since the Suns with Durant and company should be on national TV frequently, unlike the Wizards

Is the winner determined by regular season play? Do conference post-season tournaments play a role? What about the big dance or the other post-season tournaments?

I have had season tickets since late 60's (except for covid year); I may not renew next year if Ford is still here. He works very hard, does everything he can to market program. Having said that, there are coaching things that even I can see that are very upsetting-little thing like Bills calling timeout under VCU basket near end of game. Bring ball to half-court then call timeout. Just waste precious time bringing ball back upcourt and allowing VCU to press. Coaching small details matter.

Could we have Cisse at the top of a 1-3-1 zone (ala Foreman). We are somewhere near the bottom of the country in forcing turnovers. I get frustrated watching teams run their offense at will against us as we stay in a conservative man-to-man defense never swarming and yet allowing easy shots either in the paint or outside the 3-point line. It isn't because of lack of effort by the players, but because of style of defense. If you watched the Mizzou-Ky game you had to be impressed by the defensive pressure used by Mizzou. You will sometimes get beat by overplaying your man, but we already get beat by being so passive on defense

To say someone is a horrible person shows little compassion and should make one look at oneself. Be careful throwing stones,especially at Christmas

In today's Post Dispatch obit was Glen Mankowski. Most on the board won't remember him. My first memories of Billiken bball were listening to Harry Carey do Billiken basketball on KMOX. Gen Mankowski, Bob Nordmann, Bob Ferry were some of the names I recall. I also recall Oscar Roberston putting up something like 50 against us. I didn't realize that there was a Catholic All American team and Glen was on it. RIP Glen Mankowski.

Good teams win on the road and this wasn't even a true road game (on neutral site). We need to win tomorrow. If we have no interior defense, it will be a disappointing season.
