They announce the special pricing late - dynamic pricing means they price it once they see how many tix they have sold or not. Maybe early in the season they do less of it. For some reason you are having trouble understanding the concept of dynamic pricing - maybe I am not explaining it well enough for you - the issue is they do dynamic pricing during the year at times.
Normally they sell tix for $5 - I have no idea if they have anything for Saturday - I have season tix. This is called dynamic pricing and all teams use it - based on pre-sale they determine if it is in their best interest to do this.
Those people are not necessarily saying just win now and fans will show up - I believe what they are talking about is longer term winning process - win for a couple of years and then see if they show up. The specials they have for tix are pretty cheap so just lowering prices isn't the answer either. No quick fix.
No but he/she has a role in marketing, building student enthusiasm, and a host of other small things that can end up having an impact if handled correctly.
He is truly a good player but what we don't know is if his condition is causing his limited minutes. Maybe he is fine at 16 minutes but over 20 over time may be too much of a tax on his body. I don't know if this true or not just suggesting why it might be the way it is
Trying to compare Cignetti and Shertz is simply not worth the effort - both are apparently good coaches. Now would Cignetti have been able to do this pre NIL - who knows. Shertz is a long way from doing what Cignetti has done.
Shertz uses a different metric. He says 17% of possessions is the goal. The old way of thinking about it using a preset total is not important to him. So he is the coach and they will deliver what he wants.
