Majerus Magic
If Suggs can afford to spend almost 10,000 a year, why doesn't he transfer the the private school in his town. The same high school that already has a D1 player and won state last year. At the school he is at now, he has regressed during the season because his team is terrible. Taj79
$10K a year for four years equals $40k. If it means a $100K scholarship then you've reaped a 150% return on your original investment with a chance to glorify that further by getting, oh, say, another $80 million over a five-year contract that is written in such a way that you get full free agency after three. Not too shabby. Why should the Sugg's kids even go to school at all other than during basketball season? And if the high school competition is such that the poor kid is regressing, just home school them and only play on the real circuit .. the AAU circuit in the summer. That's all you need. If its on HoopScoop it can't be wrong. College education? Neither of these kids needs it .. providing all things break just right and the dream is realized to its fullest potential. And that happens all the time. With all things being equal, ignoring the riduculous claim about a college education, if you're the Suggs, you not only want but you NEED these kids at a basketball factory. The end of this rainbow is the promised land of pro basketball; don't delude yourself into thinking its anything else. If that is the case, if we agree on that as the end to this means, why oh why would a kid go to Saint Louie Ewey?
Basketbill
if marketing this is the private Business that Anthony Beane went into?
Box and Won
I wish Suggs' dad would have used SLU as an example instead of the University of Illinois.
Nate Latsch
>I wish Suggs' dad would have used SLU as an example instead >of the University of Illinois. But the University of Illinois isn't located a couple minutes from where Ron Suggs and his wife both work. Don't worry, the Suggs know plenty about SLU. That's not to say Scott will pick SLU, because he'll be able to go wherever he wants, but if he wants to stay home his family will be able to watch him all the time. Whatever money the Suggs family spends on Scott's training now will be repaid (and then some) in the future. - Nate
Quality Is Job 1
Illinois went to the Final Four the year before last, when St. Louis hosted, so there are a whole lot of Illini bandwagoners still around.
p diddy
Scott Suggs' mother was on KMOX with Charles Brennan talking about this very topic. she was on for about 15 or 20 minutes. during that time, she talked about how Scott was being recruited mentioned specifically that her son was "offered a full ride scholarship to st. louis u. by coach brad soderberg." that was pretty cool to hear. bad boyz for life
