17-10 UNI after 1 qtr, Billikens need to shoot better.

This how they started the UCA game until they woke up on offense

27-26 UNI at the half, fairly even game. Billikens improved on defense. Game really even, slight edge on TO’s to Billikens, slight edge on rebounds to Panthers, close on shooting percentage too. Time for halftime adjustments to get Kyla McMakin open and get more space for Peyton Kennedy, they are really swarming them when they have the ball.

Coach Tillet usually can make better adjustments, but the UNI coach is really good too.

49-44 Billkens after 3rd qtr. looks like Tillet winning the chess match over Tanya Warren. Seriously, the two coaches are so calm , looks like they are playing chess at the Chess Hall of Fame.

Next game 7pm East/6pm Central Fri Mar 29th at Purdue-Fort Wayne. They are the Mastodons, for some reason.  So don’t call their players Elephants, they won’t like it.

If you recall your history, (they still teach history, don't they?) Mastodons roamed the southern region of the Great Lakes thousands of years ago.  I'm guessing @Old guy was around back then.  Anyway, IPFW [Indiana-Purdue Ft. Wayne - that's what it originally] was built in the late 1960's. About that time a mastodon bone was found in nearby Angola IN. The full skeleton was later found.  When IPFW got around to sports nicknames, the student body voted and hence became the Mastodons.

Saber Tooth Tigers would have been a more interesting choice, if they are going for extinct Ice Age Mammals. @Old guy would surely recall them as well, from his youth.
