He appears to be taking his time, wants to make sure it's the best fit for him. Most are trying to come up with a top few or announcement date by now. Just a few weeks from the signing period. cheeseman Posted October 24, 2013 Share Posted October 24, 2013 2015 will be an interesting class. Assuming we fill the last 2014 scholarship and there is no attrition, we have 2 spots to give. I'm seeing our name tied to Nixon quite a bit, so we're pushing hard for him. My impression is that we're just one of many after Boudreaux and he's visited quite a few other places, so that seems like a massive long shot. Not sure who else besides Nixon is being prioritized in that class at this point. I thought we would have 3 - Glaze, Manning and Yacabo - am I wrong? I can't see how there can be an complaints or reservations on what we are doing, especially if you look at the state of the program up to RM. No, it's not a done deal until SLU has the signed LOI after the signing period begins. Only then can SLU publish a press release regarding the signing(s), including comments from the coaching staff. Don't expect to see anything from the local media until a day or so before the signing period begins, when they may run a story on who is expected to sign, based on verbal commitments received. But don't worry; in these days of rampant social media, if a player backs out of a verbal commitment, the word will get out. So, as long as we don't hear anything, it's virtually a done deal.
