eskimo
It appears Kevin O'Neill is available. Would he be a viable fit for our available position?? http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/8843050/kevin-oneill-usc-trojans-coach
Taj79
From the nearby ashes of the La Brea tar pits, rises another dinosaur. No thanks.
Quality Is Job 1
I don't know. Do we really want a heade coach who was fired from his last position?
JMM28
No thank you. He hasn't had success as a HC anywhere
SShoe
I don't know. Do we really want a heade coach who was fired from his last position?Depends. How would you feel about someone like Jay Wright?
MusicCityBilliken
No thank you. He hasn't had success as a HC anywhere I don't recommend we get him, but he did have success at Marquette. I lived near Knoxville when he coached at Tennessee. It wasn't that he was a bad coach at Tennessee, he just totally clashed with the Rocky Top culture. slu72
Did he have any obstacles after the Mayo Floyd fiasco? Like loss of scholies? If not, I'd say definitely we don't want him. Heck, if you can't recruit to USC (pictures, Jimbo) then you won't be able to recruit to SLU. Besides, the only old guy I'd like to see offered the job is RM's clone or ghost. He still had passion, I'm not so sure some of these older boys aren't in it just to pad their retirement accounts.
West Pine Jim
No way, Jose.
doowop
There were too many complaints about him after he took over at Arizona. Based on some of the articles I read, he was much worse than RM in his treatment of players. And his profanity was almost legendary.

MB73
Simple. If we get in B7 + X-B-D we should get somebody much better than O'Neill. If we are on the outside, he might be best case for us.
