We also need too hear more from KMOX when they interview Mizzou's AD and Coach and insert this topic intoo their interviews. Triangle is trooly sorry for bringing up a topic that you 2 cannot understand. There is a new "dynamic" now in this discussion. Our Billikens now have an arena that they can schedule any night of the week. They both have their own arenas, there is no reason for any other "entities" to become involved. Mizzou played in a half empty arena on this Saturday afernoon against who? Of course our Billikens play in a half empty arena pretty much all the time. This is a money maker for both schools. Is Mizzou fearful that Billiken fans will not support their team and drive 110 miles and bring a much bigger gate than who they played tooday? Hell, our Billikens played Duke tooday, Mizzou played Georgetown and Vanderbilt. It is time for people too put the preasure on and put petty differences aside. Triangle just doesn't understand it, doesn't understand the animosity and especially the AD's attitude towards this subject. Wisconsin vs. Marquette - 117 years - one year here, one year there.

It helps that Marquette is 12th all time in NCAA appearances, not counting the years they skipped it for the NIT. And they are 9th all time in post season appearances. It also helps that Wisconsin had some challenges from the late 1940's to the mid 1990's.

I posted this in another thread. Syracuse for example does not leave the state of New York prior to January of this year. Why? They don't have to do so. They make $400k plus for "buy" games. All they have done is make sure they beef up their buy games a little in recent years...but they are still home buy games where the chances of losing are not too frequent.

Duke game was a one way "buy" game where Duke makes money and adds to its win total without hurting their schedule strength too much.

Actually no I don't have it backwards. Both teams make money in buy games. The recipient gets anywhere from ...$40k to $100k plus depending on what they can command on the "buy" game market. But the home team is often times still clearing multiple six figure dollars for that game depending on the school.
