With these additions that will make like 30 schools in the SEC. At this point they should just change he name of SEC to the NewNCAA…

I’m so sick of this realignment crap. And the fact that it has 99% to do with football and the football money makes it extra exasperating. I’m pro regional rivalries!! We should be playing MU, MO State, IL, Butler, etc. every year.

I agreed completely. I’d say next season we have one of the strongest teams we’ve had in a while (barring injury of course). And we only have one 4 star recruit from high school on the team (Okora)?? Totally different world now.

Not having the other team’s #1 or #2 defender will do wonders for gibby next year too.

To be honest, I was a little surprised to see Nesbit “declare” for the nba draft. Without him AND Perkins, that would be a large gap to fill. I’m stoked for Perkins coming back, but I would also welcome Nesbit back too (if that’s what he wants). He is not good enough to play in the NBA.. right now anyway. He could come back and most likely start and/or get more minutes at the beginning of the year until Perkins gets . Or hell, he could put it all together and be a superstar. However, I have definitely been guilty of falling in love with recruiting stars and unrealized potential.

Nailed it. Blue bloods line their pockets. And SEC football has more power than the ncaa at this point. Sankey could easily say “if you hammer anyone of my schools, I’ll just start our own league”

Well, we finished the season how we started.. with stunning disappointment. Had a few good runs in there, short periods of looking great and overachieving, but couldn’t sustain it. I hope this left a bad taste in the mouths of everyone in the program(coaches included) and lights a fire for next season. I don’t care if we get production from the current active players, or Perkins coming back, or the new kids, or transfers, or space jam characters… I’d like to see some results next season. Go to the dance and win a game or two. Everyone knows what that takes. ok, hot take over. I’ll take off my oven mitts now.
