  1. A Soprano wannabe adding sartorial flair to our bench for a couple of years in exchange for Tre..I would take it!!
  2. Tre Mitchell is the transfer we need. He owned the A10…did not live up to expectations in the Big 12. He knows what Javonte and SLU represent…and CTF knows first hand what Tre is capable of..come back to the A10 Tre!
  3. I think every time Schaz posts a UT update, someone in the know should post a Vanderbilt update….that might slow down the UT drivel a wee bit…
  4. Not certain we can count on Pickford following in Green’s footsteps and throwing the ball into his own net again…but one can always hope…. And Gracias a Dios we are not Costa Rica…they’ll be lucky to get a point in their group if they make it in…
  5. Absolutely…or just check in with the announcers…”se la vendio” must have been repeated ten times
  6. Yes, Pulisic was brutal….and on the couple of occasions when he did actually make a promising run, his final touch was, again, brutal. We can only hope he recovers form when playing Panama. Reading the Italian sites after their shocker, almost all the complaints relate to lack of a competent striker. I could cut and paste them here and only change the names. We need Sargent…he is a different level from the rest of these guys. Love the way Gio played last night. Yeah, he was going against tired legs, but that one run…Maradona 2.0 without the finish. And the look he gave Pefok…going to be a meme for certain.
  7. Osun’s block took the #1 slot in the ESPN TOP TEN today.
  8. This, and the fact two starters transferred out last year - giving WBB four starters total who left rather than stay with program. Something is just “off.” And Travis has yet to lose a starter to the portal.
  9. The Tre Mitchell saga irrefutably supports the argument a player is better off staying in a conference such as the A10 rather than moving on to the P5…
  10. We need the Nesbitt from the first half of the Bonaventure road game to show up. If this is the Nesbitt we get today, we win.
  11. I felt as bad for David Cox as I have felt for any coach in quite a while yesterday. To set the scene for those who did not watch the game: Richmond up by 2 with the ball. 25 seconds left in the game and 10 on the shot clock. Gilyard, their best fee throw shooter, way out on the floor, dribbling and running out of clock. El Amin promptly fouls him, sending Gilyard to the line. Camera zooms in on Cox. Tragic, despondent look on his face. No anger. Just a guy who is at wit’s end and has surrendered. He says to El Amin (easy to lip read) “what are you dooooing???”in a soft sort of way. Then he puts his arm around him. Almost brought a tear to my eye. Gilyard hits both free throws and the game is over.
  12. This, to me, remains the most perplexing facet of yesterday’s game. Nesbitt has screwed up before. He has never been benched for an entire half. He was continuously slapping himself on the forehead during the first part of the second half…a clear sign he was aggravated with himself. He did not appear injured and did appear enthusiastic during TO huddles. When Fred had to almost immediately re-enter the game with 4 fouls (very good move by TF as he realized only Fred could rescue us from the increasingly dire situation - which Fred did with a quick basket to stem the VCU tide) it was obvious something really weird was going on with Nesbitt. Hopefully we hear the “rest of the story” today….
  13. Love this video. When he was on his game, definitely the best ever….never get tired of watching his 86 WC highlights.
  14. I think you may have been on the mark with the “danger of getting whupped by an angry Dayton fan” comment. Some of their tweets regarding hunting for Billiken fans at the A10 tournament were quite aggressive. Though I’ll be the only guy wearing Billiken apparel in my group, all my brothers and their friends (mostly UVA/Mason folk) should be impressive enough as a pack to make any raging Flyers think twice before singling me out for confrontation. .
  15. Nesbitt hits the three we’re going to OT….where we most likely win as the Bonnies were reeling. I hope we get them in DC…..17 TO’s to 5 TO’s and we only lose at the last second on their home court?? They’re more afraid of seeing us again then we should ever be of them.
  16. All true; but we did foul Osun out….the hack on Nesbitt was the hack heard around the world. The refs swallowing their whistles on that one distinct play was shocking….I don’t think their was a person in Chaifetz, including Coach Mark, who did not think that was a clear foul. Unfrickingbelievable…..
  17. Is the Brazilian Pompeu the same offset left wing who turned our right wing back inside out several times when we played VCU? If so, that is a heck of a get for STLFC. The dude can play!! Was, from my perspective, the most impressive guy we played against all year.
  18. Thanks for the analysis! Always much appreciated. I would only add LaSalle beat an X-Oduro GM team. He hurt his left knee against SLU…wrapping it on the bench and slightly hobbled in the second half…uncertain as to when he will return.
  19. My fave to verbally abuse was always that feisty cabron from Rhodey….
  20. I’m sorry but I found Willie’s Travis comment hilarious, almost as funny as slu72 Rashad/Chinese hypersonic missile analogy. I’m still cracking up! Travis is becoming widely hated around the league. My brothers told me the Mason fans were working him over. I see this as a good thing….think about who are the coaches we Chaifetz folks hurled the most flak at this year…Pearl and Pitino….
  21. Yep. I think Daytime now knows who is Linssen! Good call!
  22. Let’s just hope he plays up to his usual level today. We’re going to need it… Also, did Twellman say he was yanked? Balboa commented he was taken off to save for Canada…and Balboa never sugarcoats anything .
  23. This was the worst I have ever seen CP perform for the usmnt. Turnover machine which is completely unlike his normal game. I was OK with JF first miss as he did a sweet job creating the shot. The second miss however….Pepi or Sargent go with their left foot and score, no doubt.
  24. Who was the point guard on the Larry Hughes team?
  25. One probably has to be physically present to notIce - a large percentage Williams 3 point misses are just different from everyone else’s. They hit the inner rim with tremendous torque, rotate halfway down into the net area, and subsequently carom out with serious pace. Leads one to believe he’ll shred some nets should he come to find his form….
