He wants to change it to Stone Cold Shane Ford

I actually wouldn't be opposed to that haha. Also wouldn't mind an homage to the great Grandy Glaze as @RamJAMTIME said. Just can't do Travis and can't do Austin McBroom. I've also learned it may be nice to have your name independent of coaches and players.

He got 2-3 baskets a game going back door with Yuri. That went away last year but will return this year. He's very good at it. I could see him averaging close to 20 a game.

Pick and pop with him and Avila, you can’t guard both

Yeah.   Really like it here.  I was JaxBilliken on here from 2000-2009, then got transferred to OKC against my will and changed my moniker.  Made it back to Florida in 2014 but just too lazy to change my screen name.  It’s amazing how long this board and its predecessor have been around.

Asking for a friend…....how do you change your screen name??

Last we saw he was in a "boot" about a month ago.  So ...... ???

At the soccer games on Thursday he was in a post-op shoe but moving fine. That doesn't mean he had surgery but may have had a foot sprain or toe injury.

Fun TeamBlue bonding video.  Some of our new players are involved.  Who is the white player at 15 seconds standing behind Cian?  You can also see his back in the huddle at 3 seconds. I'm guessing it's van Bussel.

From a little research I believe it is Alex Nokes, who I am guessing is a walk-on that was not announced.  He was tagged in the IG video and has SLU mens basketball in his IG and twitter bios.  He's a 6'8" forward from California that just finished a prep year at Victory Rock Prep.

I guess you have to start somewhere but last week or two Billiken Bob and Billikenswin echoed similar, positive  sentiments about this hire.  I don't see it.  Maybe when we get some signings attributable to this hire, I'll get excited.

My thought is that but the opposite side, I love Forte and Bailey but I haven’t seen it. Where in their coaching stops have they gotten a huge signing or been attributed to a big win/coaching prowess? Again I think they are both great people but not sure why people are putting them above Harriman, not saying Harriman is the best coach ever either but think he has had more experience than both Bailey and Forte.

I normally roll my eyes at "I'm staying" announcements but it was an open question for her, especially given that she walked on senior night. Huge news for SLU.

It works out well that her Masters of Athletic Training program is 5 years so she was going to be at SLU another year anyway but love that she chose to continue playing. Her schedule with school, clinical rotations, and basketball has to be a grind.

She was injured last season, and ended the season early. I don’t know what her injury was, and I don’t know her injury status now, but if she’s not game ready why have her dress out and go do warmups with the other players?

Bess tore her ACL last year

I googled A10 players in the NBA.  Here is what was listed.  Last pre-draft school is what was listed. Several are two way.  I did not check any rosters, just copied what was on the list.  https://basketball.realgm.com/ncaa/conferences/Atlantic-10-Conference/10/in-the-pros

    K. Antetokounmpo - Dayton and Bulls

    Curry - Davidson and Warriors

Dowtin - Rhode Island and Raptors

    Goodwin - SLU and Wizards

Hall - St. Joe and Spurs

    Hyland - VCU and Nuggets

    Toppin - Dayton and Knicks

    Watanabe - GW and Nets

    Williams - VCU and Grizzlies

I see Zeke Moore is listed on the Warriors G League team and he is on their roster.  Good luck Zeke.  (Isn't it too bad he had to transfer out of SLU because Jordan Goodwin wanted his #23 jersey?)

Interesting, I checked on the St. Joes guys I was thinking of and Langston Galloway, DeAndre Bembry, and Charlie Brown Jr were all on teams for parts of last year but are currently free agents.

Partial OT:  Goodwin DNP in tonight's Wiz Win

However, St. Joe's Jordan Hall saw his initial action for the Spurs tonight, 17 min, 3 points, 2 assists and 2 TO.  Glad to see another A10 product enroll in the NBA history book.  He is on a Two Way with the Spurs.

The G League play start this weekend.  Many Two Way's will see time in the G League to keep their game sharp.

Actually, the Spurs signed signed Hall to a 1 year non-guaranteed deal after they had waived him and his 2 way contract in August. He got re-signed because they needed help after injuries and the waiving of Josh Primo after his exposure incident. What a wild way to find yourself getting NBA minutes.

Also made me wonder, does St. Joes have the most A-10 players in the NBA currently?

  11. Not a ton in here we don’t already know about the changing landscape with NIL but I did find it interesting that SBUs big 3 all said they were coming back and were set to get NIL $ but then were still lured away last minute by the big boys

I'm not sure where to find splits on FG% just at the rim, but here is how Okoro's overall FG % breaks down from last season (decent proxy since most of his shots are at the rim):

Games 1 - 10: 46.8% (this drops to 36.8% of you take out his 7/8 performance vs Harris Stowe)

    Games 11 - 35: 61.6%

Francis was pretty clearly shaking off rust early & missing a bunch of bunnies at the rim.  I'm expecting that a full season of him making more at the rim will improve our efficiency there.

Perkins ability as a 3 level scorer will also boost our efficiency at the rim.  He shot almost 70% at the rim himself & his mid-range / outside scoring ability should open things up more for others.

This article from Stu definitely supports your points on Okoro
