Just to make sure everybody is aware of this. The NIT distributes the money from ticket sales, after expenses, among the schools playing at the tournament according to the number of games played. 25% off the top goes to the game winner, the rest is distributed equally among all schools playing at that level. The NIT also pays for transportation to and from the tournament games, plus staying at the tournament site (room, board, etc) for schools attending. A significant portion of your $100 per seat goes to the schools playing.
Those tickets were $30-$40 from the source. So a significant portion is actually going to StubHub and scalper's pockets.

Per KFNS radio hosts - Ahearn is the best man for the job and the only acceptable hire for the Billikens.
Radio hosts don’t know squat.
I do appreciate the info 747.
Fair point.
Here it is from the horse's mouth

I'm not following... Schertz says his friend got death threats, yet he's going to go ahead and accept the job there?
Yeah I don't get it either, just relaying what he's saying.

Per Louisville ESPN radio host - Schertz told him that Dusty May was going to go Louisville but got death threats from Louisville fans (on potentially accepting or rejecting the offer). Apparently Schertz and Dusty May are close. The host is also saying Schertz is likely choice for Louisville.

Troubling news…can SLU outspend Louisville?
More importantly, does SLU need to worry about FAU?

Whats the payout breakdown? Does it all go to the participating team or is there sharing?
I think the school keeps 75% and 25% gets distributed to the conference. Amount is payable over 6 years.

Will Wade will have better offers.
Doesn't he still.have a show-clause? Might limit his offers this year.

Right now, the job belongs to Ahearn (that's not what I want) but it came directly from an insider.
Bad post reaction

IF all things are equal among offers, he may want his best chance of landing at-large bids... and if that's the case, it would be with a P6 job. That's the unfortunate reality.
He just put up a 28-6 record in essentially a 1-2 bid league and is sweating out whether or not he gets in the Dance - why would he go to another (A-10), if he had a chance to go to a 4-6 team bid league? IF there are no P6 offers, then this opportunity looks a lot better.
A10 has been on a downward trend, but since 2014 we've averaged 2.7 bids, MVC at 1.3. Their multi bid years included teams like Creighton, Wichita State and Loyola, who are no longer there.
