  1. Nice win for the young Billikens, just what the Doctor ordered! No excuse for the Bonnies loosing to VCU on their home court. The Bonnies had the advantage - cold, miserable and snowy - our favorite weather conditions! The new no touch rules are tough to deal with. That's why you will see more and more driving the lane, trying to get contact for the foul shots or the " and 1 ". The Billikens and the Bonnies have this in common - ya just don't know what team will show up for the game? See you in Olean Feb.7 when the Billikens come to town. If any SLU fans make it there, the Road-Kill Cafe' has some GREAT " Mhu-Shu Muskrat " get the kung-pao style and the possum poppers are to die for! Go Billikens beat Dayton
  2. Your a meaning one Mr Grinch ... baiting me like this to come out in the open.. makes me nervous but, here goes; I think your a little too tough on your Coach, your team this year is young and plays tough, they just get out of sync, they'll finally put it all together, Nice win the other night for the Billikens. As for the Bonnies, Watching Dayton during warmups we all thought that they looked like a sweet sixteen team and hope the Bonnies could make it respectable, As for the Bonnies, it was one of those " oh well " games. First half Dayton made almost all of their shots and their defense just lock down the Bona guards, Bonnies couldn't buy a basket " live by the 3 die by the 3, down by 30 at one point in the first half and that's were they lost it - or so it seemed, in the second half the Bonnies beat Dayton 61 - 18! That's right Dayton was held to only 18 points and there Bonnies took it tom and scored 61 points. And still lost, but the RC was really rock'in the DeShawn Pierre falling away out of control 3 point shot over Dion Wright stopped the Bonnies near the end of the game. aah crap, it would have made the tractor ride back to the farm just a little more enjoyable !!! Bonnies have 12 game remaining, hope they can go 6-6. See you guys in Otterville, then, we play you in the Chfitz at the end of the year. Both SBU and SLU ladies basketball teams are very good this season - if you can, please attend the ladies games. Go Billikens Beat Dayton
  3. quoting a Mel Brooks movie " the inquisition ya ya ya ". Looking back it all started when Jorden Gathers hit that 3 to win it all... Go Billikens beat Dayton !!!
  4. might be time for the Mid-American Conference?
  5. I love the Billikens Message Board. You guys say it like it is. All teams have that one ugly game. Look at the Bonnies, they are beating Syracuse for the first 3/4's of the game and end up loosing. Oops Lookforward for our Home and Home games with you this season! Go Billikens beat Dayton
  6. Just to add on, this is off of todays Bandwagon on Courtney Stockard " Although not a frosh, of the newcomers it looks like Stockard will end up with the most PT by year's end." Ya can't fault the kid for going to Bonas - its nice, its peaceful and its quiet. Plus the Bonnies need all the help they can get.
  7. "That Sunday, February 7th game at St. Bonaventure will get over a couple hours before the Super Bowl starts. Hopefully they travel back Monday morning instead of Sunday evening. But I doubt it; they normally leave there straight from the game." The Billikens usually come to Olean two days before the game - don't understand it but, as I have been told, Crews and the STL coaching staff enjoy Olean area once they get there. Says the food is great and its very peaceful and the players get in a lot of study time. Otterville does not have cable service but, Rural Wi-Fi is " coming soon ". In fact, black and white televisions are making a BIG come back there. Last game of the season the Bonnies play the Bills in ST Louis. It will be fun to watch the Bonnies Star JUCO player that is from ST Louis. BEAT DAYTON
  8. you guys have to make that long journey to Otterville this season ..... we'll finish this discussion then. I have a feeling that your opinion of the St Louis native Courtney Stockard will improve after the post-game interview. Let's go Bonas
  9. THIS JUST IN ... Former Jennings High standout Courtney Stockard of St Louis, has given a commitment to St. Bonaventure of the Atlantic 10 Conference. A 6’5″ wing player, Stockard spent the past season at Allen County Community College (KS) where he was one of the top players in the Jayhawk Conference. As a sophomore, Stockard averaged 23.2 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists while shooting 48 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free throw line. Courtney vs Reggie next season in the Reily Center. I am looking forward to the matchup.
  10. Unfortunate that he will no longer be with the team. When he played against the Bonnies a couple of years ago at the Reilly Center, I thought " Wow, another great player from So Cal playing in the A10 " !!! I wish him all the best. I know it must be tough for kids that age to go through these types of life decisions.
  11. Good luck tonight! I think that a tough defense and McBoom will be the key to a Billiken victory.
  12. orangehater, let it go, this is the season of Lent. They are just a little sore about Gathers beating the Billikens on that last second three point shot by Gathers, which was played over and over again on ESPN, and still remember when Tyler Relph came into the 'Fetz and was dropping 3's from all over the court. jimbofive, WestCoastBilliken and Box and One, thanks and a BIG hardy hand shake goes out to you guys. Pistol you call me a troll? If have always showed you guys respect even when you came to the Rielly Center a couple of years ago. Like I said see you guys next year! Peace and out and thank you so much Clock Tower, very thoughtful of you.
  13. Bay Area, WOW you really put a lot into your last post! We have always been the underdog, the whipping post, the team that shouldn't be there. That is exactly what makes St Bonaventure and the Olean community strive to succeed. Its a place where everybody gets along - not like gang infested St Louis and Ferguson. As for the winter, did you know Olean is no further north than Chicago? In fact the old nickname for Olean is " Little Chicago " but, I like its current nickname, the " St Pete of the North ". Alumni, watch out for the Tornados this spring, they are like asteroids, you never know where they will hit! See you guys next year in Otterville - its always nice chatting with you. Go Billiken Beaters hsmith19 you made statement " if you're going to have a cartoonishly racist team name you could at least settle on one ethnicity to caricature. " Because you are soooo ignorant let me explain to you, the Brown is for our Franciscan Friars that founded St Bonaventure - the Indians are for the local Seneca Nation - Keepers of the Western Gate... And if you didn't know there is a big push on by Native American to continue to honor the pride of all American Indians
  14. THE BROWN INDIANS WIN - AGAIN!!! Hey billikenbill, I too " like the Brown Indians moniker for the Bonnies, aka, Billiken beaters. Go Bonnies
  15. I don't think you have anything to worry about. The Bonnies are without their two best players, Jorden Gathers ( remember him ) and Jaylen Adams. The Brown Indians just can't seem to find their A game. It's like " which team will show up ". They can't play against a collapsing zone, their 3 point game is not there, they have no PG and Yousoo Ndoye can't even dunk the ball ! Hope you have more than 200 brave Billiken fans at the game. See you guys in Otterville next year - we had -28 below zone the other night - but, if you are a skier we have the BEST in the East Coast. Go Brown Indians
  16. I was at the game today and it was a GREAT win for the Brown Indians! They really are very under rated again this this year. Yes, VCU is a tough team, glad they are in the A-10 along with Davidson. Also, happy that VCU was short handed today but, they have the guys that filled their shoes. And da weather is just awful, lucky the Billikens are not coming to Otterville this season ! Best of Luck, GO BONNIES
  17. I JUST LOVE THE UNDER DOG TEAMS!!! Like the one from last year, that is here again this year, that all you guys picked to finish last.
  18. The Lambs back in Los Angles - ever since they left they have been threatening to move back - NO WAY. They ruined Anaheim Stadium when they moved in. They talk about the "NEW" Stadium they would build,,, ya, right, sure, Enviromentalists won't let it happen because they found a 3-toe Gray Rock Frog right there ................ keep'um.
  19. the Bonnies win the game, the Bonnies win the game, the Bonnies win the game, Jorden Gathers hits the 3 point shot and wins the game for the St Bonaventure Brown Indians!!! In this League, when it gets to the play-offs, all teams are equal. See you in March at the 'Fetz.
  20. OK, I have to express this: up here in Olean we have many different races and nationalities, and we all get along. Its very pleasant out here in the country. ( yes, some are sub-human with no teeth ) Now then, in all of the major cities throughout US you have inter city people being murdered by their own kind. MOSTLY GANG MEMEBERS or want-to-be members. Why aren't they protesting that? Where is Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson, why aren't they going into the inter cities to protest those types of killings? May the Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of us.
  21. Sep 09, 2014 | St. Bonaventure University is ranked No. 3 on U.S. News & World Report’s 2015 list of best values in the North — the highest ranking for any college in New York. The ranking is St. Bonaventure’s highest ever on U.S. News’ “Great Schools, Great Prices” list of Best Regional Universities in the North, which includes colleges that offer a full range of master’s degree programs. U.S. News ranked St. Bonaventure No. 5 for value in 2014. St. Bonaventure also ranked No. 24 out of 181 institutions on the magazine’s all-criteria ranking of Best Regional Universities in the North, up nine spots from No. 33 in 2014. GO BONNIES
  22. Pittsburgh's Consol Energy Center is only two and a half hours from Olean. Or by Canoe down the Allegany River about three weeks - depending on high water. Ya knowI just make !!!
  23. Tom M - thank you for you kindness...
  24. This guy predicts that the Bonnies will finish ahead of the Billikens - - - OUCH.
  25. " Worst of all, this move means that chances are I will never go to Olean, N.Y. again. We all have to make sacrifices. " Tom, we will miss you! Your always welcome to the Enchanted Mountains... WOW ,,, I'll never forget that three point shot that Jorden Gathers made last year to beat St Louis again in the A-10 play-offs. Timmerman called it right when he said " St Bonaventure is the best underrated team in the Country " See you boys in January
