  1. Just a clarification...when you say the guys were hammered...you mean that the lawyer gave them a tongue lashing right? Not that they had some Jack Daniels before they showed up... Just want a clarification before someone else reads it like I read it and runs wild.
  2. Do we know for sure that we will be without 2 players? has that been announced yet?
  3. Seems like he wants to go big time...I put our chances at 2.5%...
  4. There's room on the Lindenwood bandwagon...you might even be able to scrimmage against them in practice... We are striving for big time here. Go try to walk into Duke's practice and just watch, I wonder what would happen.
  5. Ok, I still want to know... Is Kowal on our team? Shouldn't we know this by now???? The first game is in 6 weeks.
  6. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/06/sports/b...grath.html?_r=1 Things did not go nearly so smoothly for Kowal. With his degree in hand, he had hoped to begin a master’s program in theology at Saint Louis University and play his final season for the Billikens on an athletic scholarship: the tuition at Saint Louis is more than $30,000 a year. How does the Chicago News Cooperative get the news before billikens.com! we are slacking...more depth on the frontline....YES!
  7. So his ultimate goal is to coach basketball at DeSmet. Hmm...wonder where the best place to play is to make that dream come true. I think we can pretty much wrap this recruit up. Yes, I am counting the unborn chickens...
  8. If that guy from NIU comes to SLU. Then we would have CE, RL, BC, and SK, as big men. Think how much CR could improve if he had one year to polish his game. I am not sure if RM will let go of the 3 guard line up so soon as well. People are penciling in CE at the 3, but KC, CS, and KM are still a pretty solid 1-3. WR CE KC CS KM BC might even start. People always become very enamoured with the new players to the team. But the returning players know exactly what they need to do to improve (because RM has informed them). CE needs to lose weight, check. BC needs to get healthier, and lose weight. KC and CS need to shoot 500 jumpers a day from spots where RM's offense gives them opportunities, check. MM has no idea what to expect and while his ceiling is probably higher than every guard on the roster, experience is very important in College Bball. And please no one point out what Kentucky did last season because that is the exception. I am thinking more in the Cornell arena...5 seniors beating Temple going away in the NCAAs. Do I want MM is come in and be good enough to start, of course. Do I want CR to come back and leave BC with no minutes, sort of. So now to come full circle... Barring injuries, I do not think CR will be a critical piece of our tourney run this year and think about how happy we would all be when he comes back as a 20 year old redshirt sophomore carrying 265 lbs of muscle. Our team will be better this year with CR, but I think it is a luxury that RM sees that billiken fans have never even fathomed. So whatever RM does, I agree with him! -Nick
  9. Is SLU the top on his list? NIU will release him eventually IMO.
  10. I really agree with this. Entertainment value is something the rams could use. If T.O. has no offers maybe you can sign him for less and then say, if you screw around, we will just cut you. Bradford needs protection and people to throw to. I am not sure he has either at this point. -Nick
  11. I think this board is underrating RL. He was more highly touted than CE and CE was our 2nd/3rd best player midseason after being jet lagged for 10+ games.
  12. That was because of Psycho T, not because UNC was interested in SLU.
  13. This is Gigantic...LETS START THE DANG SEASON!
  14. I agree with this notion completely. We have had a lot of people who were supposed to come in to shoot the three to stretch the defense. When they got here, they just didn't have the killer instinct like a shooter needs. Dustin M. comes to mind but I know there have been others. I will also proceed with caution regarding MM's ability to stretch the defense and be a dead-eye shooter. He just looks too much like DP
  15. That is some nice footage of Biedscheid. His shooting form looks perfect. Please don't play AAU! Has Beal recommitted to Florida or is he still deciding?
  16. RM connection pays off with ole JC...
  17. Was there a reason that D. Evans didnt play? Just no point?
  18. Whew, that was quick...but who cares, anytime SLU makes it to regionals it is a big deal.
  19. Thanks Nate! I just jumped on the band wagon...so that makes me a fan.
  20. Quote from the ESPN broadcast..."If UCLA has the hardest road, Louisville might have the easiest" SLU gets no respect...hahah
