State of confusion?

So, the rumors were going nuts at the Chaifetz tonight. One person told me they talked to a Board Member and they said the three will be kicked out of school. Not sure why anybody on the board would say such a thing. That would be pretty irresponsible and I don't think it will happen. Somebody else told me one of the ushers told him the three players for sure would not play this year. And, maybe this has already been stated, but the three players have moved to off-campus housing right across the street from IKEA. They were moved to isolate them from the others. Apparently, several students who also rent in that building know this and have made it public. If that has been stated on this board, I don't remember reading it. Not sure I would use an usher as my source for any info. And, I don't think a board member would do such a thing. So, maybe the housing thing is accurate. Take it for what it's worth.

Wow, just wow. So incredibly sad. My heart sunk when I read this. What a huge loss for so many. Joe helped me out a few times when I had friends or business acquaintances in town and needed a good dinner spot for them. Knowing I was born and raised here, he would never throw out the names of some of the "go-to" places, but he would ask me questions about the visiting parties to make it a better overall experience for them. He always followed up after as well to see how they enjoyed the places they ate. Such a great guy who loved his family deeply. Thoughts and prayers to him and his family. This board now has a huge gap in it.

French is not Anthony Bonner. Bonner was leaner and a freak athlete. I know why you would want to make those comparisons and from your raw ability comparison, I get why you make the comparison. But, from what I have heard from somebody close to the program, is that French may have a little of both of Tatum and Bonner in him. If he continues to develop he will be a special player and definitely a fan favorite. I'm hoping he's like Mo Alie-Cox with more upside.

And we will face 16 - 18 (depends on playing Washington or Providence) of the predicted top scorers on this list this season. It will be good to see how we do against some of the top players in the country.

I wouldn't say we are lacking in the height department. We may not have 7 footers, but I believe we are in the top third of all NCAA D1 teams in regards to height.

The women's field hockey team has a nice setup at Sportport. They have banners out for the team as well. There is a midwest regional league that plays games there as well for club field hockey, so the SLU ladies get decent exposure there. Field hockey has never been big in this town in the past, but there an increasing number of clubs adding teams here. The only downside to Sportport is that the parking situation is terrible and when there are soccer games/practices (which is often) on any of the (12 - 16) soccer fields the parking is a nightmare.

Love it! Season can't get here fast enough!

I have no complaint with your thoughts on a message board. I just wanted to know why you think he'd be a good associate head coach?

Not everybody does. Even worse, some believe he is ready for an associate head coach position. Based on what?

Pelphrey would be an outstanding hire for Ford.

It's tough waiting around for all these decisions. We had to wait for what seemed forever to name a new coach and now we got to wait on assistants. I understand that it takes time to do things, but I'm way too impatient for stuff like this.
