  1. I don’t claim to know much about Larry Jr’s recruitment, but he and his family were seated in the VIP seats behind the Billiken bench at one of the late regular season games. You typically see recruits in those seats, so I’m thinking that there’s some chance that we’re recruiting him.
  2. I had this exact thought a little while ago.
  3. Eckerle is a doctor, Crawford is a lawyer.
  4. I’m going. I booked my plane tickets when we were on that winning streak and looking like a solid shot for a top 4 spot, meaning that my flight is Thursday afternoon. I’d like to see us make a run to at least Saturday, but frankly I’m just hoping that we don’t get eliminated before I board the plane at Lambert on Thursday afternoon.
  5. Well shoot…just jinxed myself on this one.
  6. That’s a good call. First of all, Southern is excellent, and second, I don’t think the place I’m planning on going has been mentioned in this thread, which gives me some level of hope that it won’t be too crowded haha.
  7. Exactly. There is nothing I’ve seen, and I’ve seen raw video of the “incident”, that makes me think this is anything other than Dayton being frustrated with the way this game was going. Their bench flipped out over Yuri emphatically grabbing a rebound, or pretty much any time SLU did anything with any kind of strength.
  8. I’d love to be wrong, but I think that is the pick here. I think he visited Tech recently too.
  9. I have no objection to including the arch in a video, as SLU generally tries to sell the aspect that it is located in a city (St. Louis) and the arch is probably the most recognizable place in St. Louis. That said, you’re 100% correct…no one is coming to SLU because of the arch.
  10. As others said, after the dunk, he faced the SLU bench and did a little dance. It was one of the greatest moments of this entire season and I need it on a gif yesterday. I was slightly worried that a few of the players on the bench, especially Okoro, were going to injure themselves from falling over laughing. Totally worth the T.
  11. THIS. My big talking point lately is that the pandemic was a forced opportunity for a lot of people to consider what their priorities were. There were probably some people who had season tickets for a number of years and did so as a routine, and some sort of pause in that routine might have caused some people to decide that they like the ability to not plan their schedules in the winter around 1-2 basketball games per week. Not directly related to SLU basketball, but I know people who started spending much more of their time at their vacation homes in another state when they realized that they could do that. Those people are going to fewer games, and maybe dropped their season tickets.
  12. The issue may be with playing summer league ball for their high school coach. I don’t think Courtney Ramey had his dad as his high school coach, so if that’s the issue, he wouldn’t have had that issue.
  13. So I don’t really know how the MLS draft works. I don’t know if some players bypass the draft and join teams in another way, but having the #1 overall pick, 3 top 6 picks, and 4 top 15 picks is pretty impressive.
  14. This is SLU we’re talking about. With a few exceptions, SLU hasn’t always been great with some matters of logistics. The vaccine requirement came directly from the university administration, not the athletic department. I could completely see a scenario in which the university announces the vaccine/negative test requirement, and now the athletic department has to figure out how to work out the logistics and implement this requirement. I’d expect them to have something put together in the coming days which could be emailed to season ticket holders/single game ticket holders, posted on slubillikens.com, maybe Ticketmaster too, etc.
  15. The vaccines have been available to the public for around 9 months now. If you work in an industry that was prioritized on vaccines, even longer than that. Frankly I don’t think that many people are going to get vaccinated now because of the SLU requirement. For those that are, get vaccinated and get tested before games until the 14 day wait period ends. As someone suggested, you can go to Walgreens or an urgent care. Walgreens has been fairly slow with test results lately, at least compared to this summer. I went to Walgreens for a test in June as it was a requirement for a trip to Hawaii, and I had my results in 45 minutes. My fiancée has had to get 2 tests in the last 6 weeks because her job is fairly strict with potential covid cases, and now the results have been taking 2-3 days to come back.
  16. I wasn’t watching live, was following on my phone. Was the guy that punched/slapped Schulte the same guy that acted like an idiot at the end of their last game?
  17. I just caught a follow too…I’m pumped!
  18. When I covered the soccer teams for the University News 15+ years ago, I’d sit in the press box during games. Many times Bill was there, and I always enjoyed listening to him talk soccer. Knowing more about the sport now, I’d love to watch a game with him.
  19. I went to Silky O’Sullivans once during the CUSA tournament. They decided to close early the night we lost so they could be better prepared to serve the Cincinnati and Louisville fans who would be around the next couple of nights. Therefore, I don’t like Silky O’Sullivans.
  20. It would depend on the actual language in the agreement, but I would generally expect that “indemnification” means to cover any costs arising out of the litigation, which would include legal costs and satisfying any judgments that are rendered from the litigation. With that said, the NFL and owners don’t get to play around with Kroenke’s money. They can’t decide independently of Kroenke to offer something as settlement and then send him the bill.

  22. I hate everything.
