D1 and D2 Juco do have a difference of playing ability. Say a recruit like Sanjay Watts would be out of his mind to play for Flo Valley if he wanted to go D-1. Flo, which granted doesn't have a great program, rarely produces D-1 players. Meremac and Forest Park as well do not get top level talent and do not produce D-1 players in the same vein as say the Iowa JCs or the Kansas JCs do. SWIC has turned their program around but they are hardly elite. Missouri has good JC programs outstate like 3 rivers, Mineral Area, West Plains etc who compete nationally. Still the best JCs are historically in Kansas, out far west, Iowa and Florida and the southern region.

Walls averages 14 points and 6 boards a game and shoots over 50% from the field. He had a good game this week against Indian Hills, 25 points, 8 boards and scored the gamewinner. You will remember Iowa Western produced Kenny Brown and ineligible recruit Brandon Morris.

Tommy Timm comes off as totally uninterested in SLU basketball. His articles are uninspiring and he is as droll as can be when he is on the air being interviewed by Frank or Earl during halftime. And has the guy ever been interviewed about the Billikens on a radio station in this town? If he has it can't be more than 2 or 3 times. By contrast the Mizzou beatwriter is a regular guest on KMOX, 590, and 1380. This could be because she is a woman in a sports media dominated by fat old men. Maybe Tom should put on a dress and some makeup, get some airtime for our Bills. BM's collumn was okay, but then again how can we look bad considering what is happening down I-70?

We may be on the bubble but short of winning the conference tourney this team does not make the tourney.

I wish we could have more seats but if that is what it takes to ahve offices and practice facility there than I am all for it. A state of the art practice facility, weight rooms, and new coaches offices are almost as important to recruits as the arena is.

My father always would say if the game was going bad he would sit and count the people in attendance. It would only take a couple minutes.

Hey Ma sorry for offending your sensibilities so much. Why was your son completely out of shape the first 3/4 of the season? In only the last couple games has he been able to run down the court without being winded and hasn't looked totally overweight? That more than anything else has marred his play this season.

Frankly I'm tired of this. Bernie is right, the date on the arena just gets pushed back and back. At the latest it was supposed to start this spring, now who knows, by the end of the year hopefully. This needs to get done, or they need to stop setting dates that they cannot reach. It is embarrassing.

Grimes hasn't shown much in a tiger uniform. I thought he was overrated coming out of HS. The guy is huge though, strong as an ox, and has soft hands. Grimes has had horrific coaches in HS and College, I'm convinced with the right coaching he could be a serviceable big man. If he wants to come here, I take him. Let him work with Brad and Angres for a year and then see what he looks like.

Richmond has like 8 scholarship players. They have way overachieved. Depending on the finish the richmond coach should be considered.

People forget one of the big reasons he has two schollies left over is cuz darren clarke transfered fairly late in the year. Do you think Brad was planning on Clarke transferring? I'd doubt it.

It's just not the same without Pete Gillen on the sideline. That Miller seemed like a dunce.

We run a decent amount. We push the ball alot more with Polk in the game. He takes it to the other team. When Tommie and Drejaj run the point we go slower. You have to factor in Ian. We can't run that much when our big gun on offense is a back to the basket post up player.

Charlotte is running away from Dayton. Still they are a flawed team, we have a chance on the road agaisnt them and definetely at home. I hate to see the old CUSA teams gettin killed inthe formerly Big Least. I really thought our former conference was better than that, but I guess not.

I have no aspirations of this team getting into the tournament. That would take a miracle run in the A-10 tourney. This final stretch of the year is going to be a lot more difficult than most think. We have Dayton twice and they are playing much better, those are not gimmes. Duquesne on the road is no gimme win either. Temple, Charlotte, Xavier and Charlotte again are all very tough. I hope for .500 the rest of the way but we could easily go 2-6 or 1-7.

No way This mock draft is for the year after next, Ian's senior year. If he came out this year I doubt if he would be drafted. He apparently really wants to play for Greece in the 08 olympics, which means he is going to be playing year round for at least another year. I have no fear of him turning pro, I do have a fear of him getting hurt or exhausted in SLU's offseason, where he just keeps playing games.
