Coach was on with Frank this morning.  He pointed out that when he took Collins out with his second foul at 5 1/2 minutes left in the first half, we were down by 5.  At the half buzzer, we were down by 16.  Yuri understands he can't turn the ball over like he has been.  Coach hasn't even talked to him about that.

Coach said adjustments from G1 to G2 worked early, then we got back to being sped up a bit and the game changed.

Our shooting % gave us a chance, but our TO's and how we finished the first half determined the game.

Coach had anticipated Okoro's offensive improvements through the season.  Last season at Oregon he averaged 3 ppg. He is getting 10X the touches here than at Oregon.  There are better days ahead.

Frank asked about NCAA tourney chances.  Coach, it is all about beating LaSalle tomorrow and let the rest take care of itself.  'We aren't out of getting an At-Large'.  When the St.B game was over, the LaSalle game was less than 48 hours away.  Practice is all mental now.

Nesbitt's game. He has the ability to defend really well on-ball.  We just need to get him  off-ball in the right place.  He has the ability to rebound at a high rate.  He can get 10 boards every game, not every other game.  Looking for 8 to 10 rebounds per game from Jordan.

Difference with the two games with Gibson, 'we can try to put you in the right place, but some times you have to figure it off.'  I told him in the middle of the game, the Bonnie's aren't going to let you get an open shot.  You have to figure it out and have your teammates help you.'  He has gotten away from getting to the foul line.  He needs to get there more.    Coach wants him on the line 4 to 5 times per game.  He gets so much attention and we run so much his direction, teams are targeting him.  Coach tells Gibson when we get to the bonus, tells him to crank it up.

Coach thinks St. Bonnie is a really good tough match-up for us.  They don't have any bad losses.  (N Iowa is in first place in the Valley.) Covid issues hit them as hard as any team.

Update of Perkins:  He is rehabbing daily.  Just walking now.  No where near being on the court.  Focus is on getting healthy.  He has lost a lot of weight.  He is several months away from gearing it up.

Parker:  rated in the top 5 JC in the country.  3rd in the country in scoring.  Has a really good mid-range jumper.  Recruiting never stops even with no scholarships left.  (Frank added:  15 ppg 40% from 3.)

Coach was on KMOX this am.

"We were bad, really bad."  Maybe 10 or 11 of their 3's were guarded.  The others from 30 feet were just good shots.

Not enough movement.  Guys needed to help Yuri.  Too many one pass sets.  Against LaSalle we were cutting, passing and moving.  Against Davidson we weren't.  (Okay we all agree and we all saw this.  The MBM's know this, the coaches know this, the players know this.  Then why are we just standing around?)

St. Bonaventure's game with GW and George Mason's two lost games won't be rescheduled.  This will lead to an unbalanced schedule and interesting to see how it will impact seeding.

Uhh, pretty sure the game video will reveal otherwise. We were late getting to shooters quite a few times. They had time and space to shoot and this was true in both halves.
