Official SLU News: Billikens Ranked No. 25 in AP Poll

Recommended Posts

So, without playing a game during the time in question, the Bills entered the AP Top 25 at 23 and then dropped one spot each subsequent week.  Out of sight, out of mind?  Will they drop out to "Others receiving votes" without playing a game before next week's poll?

That’s exactly what happened in the coaches poll.

There's been a lot of turnover in spots 18-30 over the last three weeks.  Blue blood and near blue bloods continue to underperform.  Duke, UNC and Michigan St are out of the top 25 altogether.  Teams with great records three weeks ago, like Arkansas and Xavier, turned out to be paper tigers.

We are benefitting from unprecedented parity.  And if the coaching staff had not landed that NC State game, this 3 week run in the top 25 never would have happened.  You never know when a tireless work ethic will pay off.

-imo would be great if all 3 missed the tourney, oh the wailing from those camps to expand the field would be immense

just like our inevitable final 4 march they will all say "well it was the covid year".
