MB73
MY is not the issue. He is only as good as the system. My mvp's last night were Cheaney and Bronson for the new offense You are saying Chaeney and Bronson definitely developed the new offense? Billikenboy
You are saying Chaeney and Bronson definitely developed the new offense? That's is exactly what I'm saying. No disrespect to Crews but todays game has passed him by. Read and react motion offense won't work when you have a variety of restrictions put on certain guys. Assistants pushed a bit and I guess JC saw the writing on the wall.

I'm not asking "who"' if so.
Box and Won
I was wondering where this came from as well. Not that I doubt it.

majerus mojo
I see size, talent and skill. I recall 10 ppg last year. I recall games where he dominated. I recall announcers such as Highmark and Ramsey gushing over him. Again, does our team lack talent or lack a coach the kids respect. Every criticism of Malik, IMO, relates to things which can be changed (between a good attitude by the player and by a coach who not only has knowledge but who commands respect). For various reasons, I do not believe Crews commands respect, he does not appear to be receiving respect and our existing talent simply is not playing well, both individually and as a team. +
CBFan
MY has the ability to be an absolute stud for us. It's on both MY and Crews to get the best MY we can on the court. Whatever approach Crews is taking with MY isn't working. Whatever attitude MY has isn't working. They both have stuff to fix in that relationship. If they can, we'll be praising MY a lot on here. One other note about last night, Crews didn't have a quick hook with Bishop or Hines like he has with others. I'm happy to see that. Not sure why the difference in treatment but I hope Crews dials down his quick hook for all the players, except when absolutely needed. Milik must sit in the film room and watch film of Dwayne Evans then Coach Crews needs to practice with Milik how to be Dwayne Evans over and over again until Milik figures it out. I think physically Dwayne and Milik are close to the same. Dwayne could bring the ball up and shot an occasional 3 pointer and shot free throws well. Can coach Crews teach it to Milik and will Milik respond to the coaching? Dwayne Evans will always be one of my favorite players ever. A reliable post player like Dwayne has been missing on this team the most for two seasons now.

A reliable post player like Dwayne has been missing on this team the most for two seasons now. Dwayne had better skills, quicker hands, and better leaping ability. MY could become a decent player if he developed a solid 8 foot jumper and learned how to shot fake. He also needs to work harder on the boards. thetorch
Dwayne was in great shape. Milik is fat. Until he gets serious about conditioning he's going nowhere.
slufan13
We don't need Milik. You can talk all you want about what kind of player he'd be if he fixes A B and C, but we're winning and playing good basketball and he's not in the lineup and there's nothing about his career to date that makes me think he'd change. Nothing like a 3-4 record in the A10 and a kenpom in the 200's to make people say "we're wining" and start tossing players to the curb....
