billfan4life
Good chance Huggins will leave KSU for Morgantown. That means we might have a chance of getting pullen if he gets released from his LOI.
slu72
Wow, add Pullen to Tyus, plus the Brad 5. Since Alford jumped I would guess Peterson's in the bag as well, and all this talk about Iowa is just that, talk, huh? (somebody get this guy into rehab, quick)
ACE
billfan is a new kind of troll. He's a kool aid troll. Most of the past trolls have been overly negative, but this guy is the exact opposite. His stuff is just wacky. At least he's original.
Billiken Rich
You are correct Ace. Original and quite refreshing.....
NashvilleBilliken
Where did you hear that? I checked ESPN and didn't see a mention of that. Is WVU really any better than KS? That seems like a wierd move.
STLfan
I don't think there is anything official but there is a lot of talk on various message boards about it. K-State boards don't seem to optimistic while WV boards seem to think they will get him.
courtside
If it is his own personal knowledge, that's fine.(highly doubt that) If it is not, I would prefer to see a link to credit the people who actually printed the information. http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/6644620
billiken_roy
nashville, i believe west virginia is huggy's alma mater and he flirted with going there a few times while still at cincy. i think like romar to washington, it is somewhat his dream move. courtside
Huggins did attend West Virginia. The outgoing President was not a Huggins fan. They'll be replacing him in Sept. I believe despite that, Huggins was offered the job before Beilein was hired last time. Truth be told, Huggins and his wife love Cincinnati......but with the choices being K-St. or WVU might be different this time around. He will either get a big raise and extension to stay at K-St. or go back to WVU...he has options now.
billiken_roy
courtside, i would guess that huggy is more comfortable in big east like atmosphere as opposed to the big 12. his recruiting ties are more east than midwest is my bet and that would translate to more success at west virginia than k-state. from all on the surface knowns, if i was in huggins shoes, i'd probably go to west virginia. pompeytir
Not exactly the mecha of culture, it is a poor desolate state. There just isn't alot around the campus and unless your constantly flying out to D.C. or NY City you've really got nothing do will all that money. I would be willing to bet that Manhattan, KS is a alot more appealing to the family than W.V..
Basketbill
Sure it is his alma mater, he also would get to go onto Cinci and beat up on the bear cats every year. (every other in cinci)plus he knows where all the good drinking establishments are in cinci
brianstl
I believe Morgantown is better. Not much, but better.

STLfan
Where WVU is located. Also he is an alum and some of his good freinds are big boosters to West Virginia. My guess is he will go home.

slu72
The appeal of tearing up the Bearcats might tempt him enough. Morgantown's not bad for WV. He did flirt with this job a couple of times. I think he'd take it. His wife could live in Cinci, as it's only about 3-4 hours away. Can you imagine being married to Bob Huggins?
courtside
http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/6648384 ESPN and others are now reporting it as well.
slu72
Figured as much. I wonder if any future recruits will see through Hugs false promises. Am sure Kstate was not on Walker or Beasley's radar until Hugs arrived. See, now that's a selling point for UB...he for sure ain't going anyplace any time soon. NashvilleBilliken
In all seriousness, do we think this puts us back in the running for Pullen? I looked at his lists of schools who extended him offers and I think we may have a shot if he decided to decommit. Scout has Dayton, Iowa St., Nebraska and X offering along with us. Thoughts? STLfan
Rivals shows that these schools had offered. Kansas State Dayton Iowa State Marquette Miami-FL Notre Dame Purdue South Carolina Saint Louis Xavier It will probably depend on who K-State hires and what needs the other schools still have. I read throuhg some of the old articles on Rivals and his top five before he commited to KSU where UAB, Oklahoma, Kansas State, Saint Louis, and Dayton. courtside
Those aren'tthe list of schools that offered him. Just schools with interest either way. Some of the schools you mentioned didn't offer him.
STLfan
All of those school's have a check mark in the offer box on his profile. When a school hasn't offered that box is blank.
