  1. That's what I was hoping for when I bought it, unfortunately it doesn't taste the same. The sauce throws it off. They should have used a garlic infused olive oil for the base or something similar instead of a tomato sauce.
  2. I'm a fan of TJ's pizzas. They sell them at a little grocery store near where I live. I tried one of the Gioia's hot salami pizza's a couple of months ago and it was ok, but not something i felt like I'd need to run out and get again.
  3. You've picked a good place to get carry out. Gioia's is outstanding.
  4. I found a 2 oz bottle of Purell at the store yesterday, I'm good for one briefcase delivery.
  5. I separated the right side of my rib cage from my sternum when i was in college. One of the more painful injuries I've had. I slept sitting up for about a month and it took about 6 months to heal completely.
  6. There's nothing worse than thinking your thumb is fully healed up then banging it on the steering wheel and it hurts so badly your eyes tear up.
  7. It should have been "GTD: SLU gives Pearl a necklace"
  8. It was a foul if you follow the letter of the law, but I would have been angry at the ref if I were coaching GW. I took the time to point out to my daughter how great a job she did to draw the call in the box. My daughter responded with why didn't she just jump over her leg. She could have stayed on her feet and either taken a shot or played it into the middle for someone else. I don't blame her for embellishing the play to get a PK but that would be a play on 99 times out of 100 outside of the box. Congrats to SLU on the win. They capitalized on their opportunities and shut GW down until the last 10 minutes or so of the game. They have made my daughter a huge fan, so we'll be making as many home games as possible going forward. Any chance they get a home game for the NCAA?
  9. The team is in St. Louis, does it really matter if anyone outside of St. Louis get's it?
  10. Saint Louis Slingers. They can use a picture of Betty, the old lady with the stoma that still smoked and cooked all your food in the middle of the night at the downtown Eat Rite in the 90's.
  11. A true gentleman and scholar to do that.
  12. Or the director of 2 girls and 1 cup.
  13. I still remember heading downtown on a weekend day for the first time when i got here in the early 90's. There wasn't anyone wandering around, it seemed like the entire area was abandoned. I always felt like I was in some post apocalyptic movie when I'd have to head downtown for something during the day on the weekends. I grew up around Memphis and there was always something going on down by the riverfront. Mud Island was always packed full of people, the area between Beale Street and Rendezvous (and the baseball stadium later) would always have people wandering around. Memphis in May always packed downtown full of people as well.
  14. Yes, an area for pop up retail stores, restaurants and places to gather before and after the game. With the new aquarium opening this fall, there will hopefully be even more development right in that area.
  15. Bear republic isn't on the same level as Russian River, but it gives me something to do when my wife and sister in laws are out sampling wines. A couple of cafe racers and a jalepeno tower makes the day go by. Apparently with the new RR location in Windsor, they make enough Pliny the Younger to share it with some of the other local establishments. The pizza is still outstanding in the new location as well.
  16. My folks live within spitting distance of Russian River Brewing. The Pliny the Elder is outstanding, I have yet to get a glass of Pliny the Younger. With the second location open now, I've heard that my chances will be much better. Bear Republic in Healdsburg is another great place to have a beer or 6.
  17. The walleye at Yellowstone Cafe is tough to beat.
  18. Claggett used a pair of those when he worked on his 3 pointers after practice.
  19. Was Rashed Anthony such a beast on the court last year that KC couldn't fill in his minutes? Maybe it was the scintillating play of Elliot Welmer that your recall from last year? How are we thinner this year than last year up front?
  20. If French's swat was altering instead of blocking, I want to see more altering.
  21. That was a crappy day. We drove out to to Wichita, and the arena was in the middle of nowhere. I think it was the first game of the day and Joe Smith whooped our collective arses(at least that's the way I remember it, for some reason that name still sticks in my craw). Then we hopped on the bus and drove back.
