I said "likely". That's a loosely interpreted word, and frankly I don't see any reason why we can't win at UMass Sunday. We're still a damn good team. Tanner Lancona is gonna start in place of Evans and Crawford in place of Jett, with McBroom first off the bench. The freshman will combine for 50.

Well they were 5-10 in the first half so a 76% ft shooting night isn't too bad; unless you look at 100% in the 2nd half. The way you cited that stat was just misleading. Last year's team didn't seem to have such a redundant rotation either. I liked how TL and MC were getting more PT, but they didn't seem to use it to their advantage... TL seemed really trigger shy and MC just didn't have a great game. Disappointing, but at least there's progress. The bandwagon "fans" are great in fair weather, but if they stick around when the clouds roll in they don't know how to handle it. The ones like us that are here from the beginning are used to the tough times and can't take it without so much anguish. +1 You answered the question perfectly.

I was absolutely livid after that play. Just embarrassing. And agreed. I was so worried when he left for the locker room. Myself and the folks around me came to the consensus that it was a bad dead-leg. It didn't seem to affect him much after he came back.

I think we all need to get our heads out of our insides and look at the silver-linings: We're 25-5. We're in 1st in the A10 and likely ranked next week for the 9th week in a row. We're going to the NCAA tournament for the 3rd time in a row, and we've broken every record in the damn book this year. We're on a three game skid, it's tough. But we have to consider all angles. We're playing a very tough schedule right now, and we're dealing with injuries. Hopefully we can get it together by the tournaments, but we'll have to wait and see. Just stop bichting and enjoy this remarkable ride we're on.

Great job, interesting read. However, I think if we win out 2 seed is more than likely since Syracuse is tanking for us. They really fell off the wagon... 4 losses in the last 5. Just wanted to mention that because we're all complaining about 2 losses in a row, but imagine how their fans feel.

Although VCU, UMass, SJU, and GW are just as good if not better than Providence, Xavier, St. John's, and Marquette... Historically? No. But this year our strength of schedule should be just as good as if we were in the beast.

As a casual fan, if you watch our games you might notice our weaknesses, but our strengths definitely prevail. I can't blame them for not trusting us, but I'm also certain that we'll surprise them in a couple of weeks.

Agreed that FT's are a huge problem, if not the main problem, but that statistic is misleading. Averaged, yeah, we shot really well the last two games from the charity stripe. But if you look at the games one-by-one, we only shot 68% against Duquesne (horrible) and 91% at VCU (great).
