  1. I told you to click on #1 dumbass!!!! You just had to click on #2!!!!
  2. You can't take anything for granted. You have to root for a win. Could turn out we lose to both A&M and Washington State and that is much worse than losing to A&M and Kansas. Why would you go into each game to lose it?
  3. Valpo hits 2 of 15 from three against Nebraska and lost to a god awful Big Ten team by 2. 50-48.
  4. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said "santa clara. they indeed have a nice team and very well are better than the billikens at this point," I think wcc is emphasing that there is a bias against the west coast and that the whole conference of the WCC is much better than what everyone else in the midwest and east coast think. That the WCC is better than most of the A-10.The results so far sum that up pretty well.
  5. historical revisionism is the reinterpretation of orthodox views on evidence, motivations, and decision-making processes surrounding a historical event. Though the word revisionism is sometimes used in a negative way, constant revision of history is part of the normal scholarly process of writing history.
  6. Ahhhh, just like the end of a runway the trashcan marks the end of one's takeoff location.
  7. I'm so glad you're not including blowing anyone this time. I wonder how many cops jimbo had to ask before he got the go ahead.
  8. Somebody should have told the team when the season started.
  9. Everybody except the Billiken players after they play games like they did against Santa Clara. How hot and how roasted and how long they have to stand will be up to the current coach.
  10. loud moth golf was a band I was in at one time. We had to change the name though because nobody could say it.
  11. I'm wondering if the cop enjoyed it. It seems Santa Clara doesn't suck but that jimbo does.
  12. I know for a fact that you are just a dick and that most people had no idea what time it was in Indiana.
  13. A reminder that Indianapolis is on Eastern time all year long. There was a period when Indiana didn't change it's clocks for daylight savings time and stayed on Eastern Standard Time all year long. That meant that half the year it was the same time as Central and half the year it was Eastern. Then about 6 years ago Indiana decided to change their clocks and stay on Eastern time all year long. The exceptions are the areas of Indiana by Chicago and Evansville. Those areas are always on Central time. The only two states that currently do not observe daylight savings time are Arizona and Hawaii.
  14. I keep checking but nothing new in the Detroit Free Press. My wife has family at UDM at this time and the university is keeping it well hushed probably hoping there is a chance it will be forgotten over time. My wife's family was asked not to talk about this situation for the benefit of the people involved and their families. Here's the latest on the Detroit message board. Officially Asst Coach Carlos Briggs has not resigned or been fired and no announcement has been made by UDM about his status. He has also not shown up for any practices or two exhibition games. One of my wife's family works in the athletic dept at UDM, who I've only met a few times, doesn't even know the asst coach's status. Thu Nov 08, 2012 3:18 pm I find it difficult to believe we know nothing about Carlos Briggs at this point with the first real game tomorrow? He is still listed on the coaching staff. No insider information?
  15. http://athletics.bel...1107124351.aspx Bellarmine University, also from Louisville, played #2 U of Louisville Cardinals, actually, and lost by 19. They did get it down to 13 in the second half. I believe the area where U of L really struggled was from 3 point range as they hit only 1 trey of 19 shots for 5.3%. Bellarmine was picked #2 in a Div.2 national poll by one publication. Bellarmine struggled with Louisville's smothering defense and ended up with an even lower shooting percentage than Louisville's 47.3%. Bellarmine shot 27% and only 17.2% from 3 point range. Bellarmine did out rebound the Cardinals 43-38 with Louisville being a much taller team.
  16. I read the Detroit message board for more info so this is ONLY RUMORS. A second asst coach at UDM, Carlos Briggs, was fired by University president, Dr. Giribaldi at the same time as the other two, AD and asst coach Thomas, who then resigned. Briggs refused to resign and was actually hand cuffed and taken off campus by the campus security personnel. Later Briggs was bragging to the Detroit press corp at that night's Pistons game that he exposed the affair between the AD Gaithers and asst coach Thomas. I'm going to sit back and wait till I see something in the Detroit Free Press after the details and explanations come out on why Briggs was also fired and why the university president took the steps he did. We should all remember that Derek Thomas was married and had four kids while former AD Keri Gaithers was also married and had a 20 year old son attending UDM and a 14 year old daughter.
  17. Few more details are out. Both asst coach Thomas and AD Keri Gaither were "supposedly" having an affair. Both were married and Thomas has 4 kids (15 yrs old to 9 yrs old) and Gaither had 2 children, 20 & 14 yrs old. The 20 yr old son was a student at UDM. Per the Detroit Free Press, rumor has it that Titan asst coach Carlos Briggs, same staff as Thomas under head coach Ray McCallum, Sr., is negotiating a deal with another employer or trying to parlay that other offer into a better deal at UDM. Briggs is missing practices and would not confirm that he is still on the coaching staff to the writer from the Detroit Free Press.Basically said "no comment." http://www.freep.com...ggs?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|Sports
  18. Word out of Detroit is that the AD and the asst coach, Thomas, were having a long running affair. They were caught in "the act" by a student. The student's parent is starting a lawsuit. So the whole sordid thing was going to be revealed in court so the two decided to quit. I'm not sure who was married or if both were single and it was more of an supervisor and employee thing.
  19. Keri Gaither, UDM AD for the last 4 years and had spent the last 27 years at UDM in other positions resigns suddenly on a Wednesday at the same time as another athletics staff member. Very strange! Is something going on at Detroit that has to do with Coach McCallum and his son, Ray McCallum Jr, that could be construed as inappropriate?
  20. Every program seems to do this now. No fans at all, no public info released. They don't keep score many times. I understand the idea is to try plays against a team you do not play against during the season and not reveal anything to your opponents.
  21. Tip: The Civil Life Brewing Co. only takes cash, no credit cards. I heard this once and wasn't sure if it was true, Conservative and anti-feminist, Phyllis Schlafly, is part of the Schlafly family that owns Schlafly Brewing. Per wikipedia it's true. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phyllis_Schlafly She is the aunt-in-law of St. Louis brewery owner Thomas Schlafly. [15]
