Rick also did say that we were going to be a top ten team in a few years and we ended the season at 13. I never would have expected that to come true. You never know, Manning could surprise us.

At that point we were "ranked" in the top 25. Of course he would want to stay with a top team even without RM. Now he realizes that we aren't a top team and wants to transfer to a top team.

Could there have been an additional academic issue? The semester just ended and grades were due today.

Biondi has frozen salaries for all professors at the university. I think Biondi knows that it might enrage the faculty even more if they didn't receive wage increases yet SLU is willing to up the basketball HC's salary substantially. I personally don't see SLU dishing out tons and tons of money for a new head coach. Hopefully I am wrong.

Angie, If you still read this board, I just want to let you know that Rick is in our thoughts and prayers. We are praying that he gets better and is able to return to coaching in the future and I wish that it could be here. Thanks for the update on Rick.

Kansas lost as well. Although I would have preferred both teams to win, this gives me a slight bit of hope that we might be able make it through the non-conference schedule undefeated.

So is it just me or does Richmond seem ridiculously impressive thus far? First two games: W 82-42 & W 101-58 Two 42 point wins..... that's pretty impressive regardless of the opponent.

At least this happened during hurricane Sandy. That should help the situation garner less attention. Media attention may help overthrow Biondi but will undoubtedly tarnish the school's reputation and cause our rankings to drop even further. This further drop will be blamed on Biondi, although i believe the faculty and students who got us into this mess are also at fault. Biondi may need to go but this isnt the way to do it.
