  1. 3-1 Final. Everyone logged playing time. Any reason why Anthony Manning wasn't even listed on the roster in the box score? https://www.nmnathletics.com//pdf9/2517585.pdf?ATCLID=209191061&SPSID=632571&SPID=93202&DB_LANG=C&CONTENT_ID=%23temp_CONTENT_ID&DB_OEM_ID=27200
  2. I guess this is the annual soccer thread. Or someone can start a new one or rename this one. Expectations for this season? I think they will be better than last season. 10 starters come back and although Robson is a big loss, I think they have enough talented players that someone will be able to fill that spot. Like every year, I think it'll take a while to get a set rotation, but there are probably 15 or 16 guys who can really contribute this season. I think the loss of Maglasang off the bench is understated. He could come in and play multiple positions and he knew what he was doing. Very smart player who really understood the game. Kristo obviously has 1st team All American talent. It'll be interesting to see how McGinty uses him as the year goes on as he sees more defensive attention this year. I don't know anything about the freshmen or newcomers? Anyone have anything to say about them? Any guesses on the starting 11? I don't remember exactly but I actually think I remember Kingsley playing the CDM at a spring game this past year. I don't know if I love that move but he is listed as a midfielder on the roster so we'll see. I hope Graydon stays in the CAM although I think he could do decently at CDM. Do we want Adnan and Kristo starting up top? I really like Adnan coming off the bench.
  3. I could be wrong here, but I think this job will have a pretty good amount of interest from other assistants around the country. You could potentially be the top assistant coach on a tournament team who has a chance to get into the Big East soon.
  4. I don't remember where SLU ranked last year but we come in at #207 this year. One spot ahead of Mizzou at least. 5. Right but the USA just needs to beat Canada by more then 3 and then they're guaranteed to at least be top 2. Between that and Australia needing to win by about 100 points, I don't think it'll be much of a problem.
  6. 2 teams make it through each group from what I understand so as long as the US beats Canada, it won't be an issue
  7. I know it's just discussion but I feel like it's pretty hard to have a definitive feeling either way before we see the rest of the recruiting class and before guys like McBroom, Lancona, Agbeko, and Crawford have even played a minute at SLU.
  8. From Butler's message board Nolan Berry, incoming Butler freshman player “I’m a little bit surprised. His name has been out there for a while, though, so you knew it would always been an option for him to leave. “He actually called me. We were going to have a team meeting and I couldn’t make it. He said he was sorry to leave. I’m grateful for him recruiting me and having the chance to play for him, even for a couple weeks. “I don’t really have a plan. I’m coming back on Sunday. I’m just going to take my time and see who they hire and see what happens. I’ll keep my options open.”
  9. He also has a full year before he even comes to SLU. He probably won't get that much bigger until he is on a college weight training program but he should be bigger and stronger by the time he gets to SLU just based on a year of growing into his body.
  10. Pretty sure Evans is taller than 6'5
  11. I'm all for doing what we did last year. Run when the scenario presents itself. But this reminded me of this clip from Brad Stevens after we beat Butler the 2nd time. Start around the 4:35 mark if the video doesn't start there itself.
  12. This has nothing to do with initials but I watched our win over Butler at Hinkle today on my DVR. Expecting a huge season from McCall.
  13. Wisconsin Basketball ‏@BadgerMBB10 May #Badgers vs. STL and WV vs. ODU in semis
  14. We play Wisconsin in Cancun for sure. Then the winner of West Virginia and Old Dominion. I saw that in a tweet a couple weeks ago. Can't find it from my phone.
  15. While it'd be nice to bring in 2 recruits who I believe would both be better than Jared Drew, I'm not a fan at all of the timing of this. I'm also going to assume that Jared probably doesn't want this, but that is speculation. I feel really bad for the situation he's been put in.
  16. Looks like we're trying to start 2 home and home series against top 75 opponents. Updated as of last Friday http://www.basketballtravelers.com/game-schedule-board/?e_type=1 St. Louis Michael Lepore 3149174587 [email protected] Looking for 2 H/H series with Top 75 RPI opponents. Willing to start 1 on the road, but need 1 at home as well. Please call with any interest or email [email protected]. Thanks! 2013-2014, Home & Home 2013-05-10 15:48:56
  17. I don't know anything about the rules but it is possible that Drew could appeal to the NCAA for immediate eligibility at a new school. He could say he went to SLU for Majerus and that it never really worked out.
  18. One thing I will say about Drew is that from what I heard, he was a freak athlete but he was one of (if not the worst) ball handler on the team. That doesn't fit well for a player at his position especially since he doesn't seem like he can score in the post like Dwayne.
  19. Don't think its a coincidence that Abell finished up his visit last night and then this morning it is announced that Drew is transferring. Abell and Onwuasor will commit if I had to guess.
