  1. I was referring to next season
  2. If Dr C isn't pleased with Crews and Whitesell as choices I'm sure they will look elsewhere.
  3. You are the one to lecture anyone about that.
  4. Thank you sir. With logic like that I am now sure you don't know what you are talking about. I now think its just as likely to be a major road opponent announcement as a Majerus health issue.
  5. SLU ranked #216. 3rd to last in A10. Behind every single team in the MVC. Just for those who think we're even close to being viewed as a 'program'.
  6. He also mentioned that all seniors are on track to graduate. Though CE might need some extra classes.
  7. Already a solid A10 center? That's a dubious statement. Or maybe it just doesn't say much for the A10. 5 points (primarily from outside shooting, 3 rebounds, and 1ft attempt per game on average. Sounds like a small forward more than a center to me. I see the potential. But it's too early to say he's already there.
  8. Still no polo shirts. What are those of us who have to work "business casual" supposed to do?
  9. While our 4-year average is now 923. The 2010-2011 score was 945. You would this this past school year was at least good as 2010-2011.
  10. Timmerman had some schedule related tweets today. Mostly restating what is above along with the conference schedule. There was no mention of Edwardsville. He also said Santa Clara may be coming here as one of the other 2 CBE games. In conference play: Dayton, VCU, Rhody, UMass, Charlotte, St Joes, Lasalle, Butler here Xavier, Temple, Richmond, St. Bonnie, Dusquene, Fordham, GW, Butler on the road.
  11. So this is all I've seen/heard about so far. Please correct me where I am wrong. In no particular order: New Mexico @Washington @Stanford SIUC Loyola Marymount Eastern Ilinois SIUE Santa Clara 4 CBE related games including 2 of (Kansas, Texas A&M, and Washington St) 16 A10 games By my count there should be three other non-conference games. We'd better get the Kansas game. Otherwise our OOC strength of schedule will be primarily based on how strong the PAC-12 is next year.
  12. Absolutely +1
  13. I do believe the "catholic conference" could happen somday though it will never have that name. I also doubt ND would be included. SLU should be more concerned with linking up with Marquette, Depaul, Georgetown, Villanova, and St. John's. Andy Katz has said that Georgetown is the nexus to the BE basketball schools. As long as they want to stay, they'll all stay. And apparently as of right now, they aren't really considering leaving.
  14. Maybe it will be some of the Big East's bball schools joining the A10 instead of the other way around.
  15. Yes, and by 14-15 Carter would have been the only guard on the team. I know everyone wants a difference making big as that is the team's most immediate need. But the day will come that they will need new guards too.
  16. RM wants to support college ball locally. And he's going to schedule a RPI 300 or D2 opponent around exam week. We should be used to the idea by now.
  17. Mtn west - CUSA merger, if it still happens, will drag the Mtn west down. Too many weak members to claim to be a premiere conference. And if ND, UL, and UC leave the Big East. The A10 will have a legit arguement for being just as good as what's left.
  18. RM has said Conklin would be a good coach. Not a bad thought IMHO.
  19. Don't know if you've noticed but the african american kids that are on the team now weren't exactly raised on farms.
  20. UL commit apparently saying the school will be in Big12 by the time he gets there. A Rutgers football recruit has been saying the same thing about that school and the Big10.
  21. Funniest line from the SMU message board: "..... no media member is more connected directly to Rick Majerus ..... than Bob Ramsy" If they only knew.
  22. You would think veterans of this board would know better than to think Fr B is the one that decides RMs salary.
  23. Right now on NBC Sports network (Versus). Bob is doing a "state of college sports" roundtable.
  24. Yes Paul is still at ESPN. He's also on Twitter. @PaulBiancardi
